Maybe Vice-Presidential Debate WILL Be A FAIR One

With the revelation that vice-presidential debate moderator Gwen Ifill is writing a book that will be very favorable to the Democrat presidential nominee, Sen. Messiah Barack Obama, there is a possibility that Miss Ifill will actually moderate a fair debate.
Now, this reaction by Miss Ifill does not offer a lot of hope, it may simply be a defensive reaction.
Most important is twofold.
One, that someone who is clearly very favorable to a particular candidate should either do one of two things. Distance his or her self from that candidate. Do not write a glowing article in a magazine that reaches a large target audience of said candidate. Do not write an audacious book that includes name of said candidate. If you do, be very, very upfront about it. That way, no one can be taken by surprise.
Or can they?
Secondly, if you are Team McCain, to say that you did not know the debate moderator was in the process of writing a book that is favorable to the Democrat presidential nominee, you better know what you are talking about. Apparently, it was reported in Time magazine that Miss Ifill was in the process of writing a book on the next generation of black political leaders. So either Team McCain did not do a new media Internet search or they are not completely telling the truth.
At the end of the day, all this light on Miss Ifill puts pressure on her to be extraordinarily fair to both candidates. And in the end, that is all we can ask of these debate moderators.

I don't know how much influence a friendly or un-friendly moderator can be in a debate at this level. But the shared media opinion is trying to sway public opinion against Sarah Palin. Channels 2,4 and 7, Thursday morning want to make this debate a tough as possible on Sarah, fortunately she is debating motor mouth and I expect he will commit suicide on stage. No matter what happen I'm sure she will come off better then Katy Curic interview but she will loose in the media poles. I think we are too far in the elections and we have all made our decisions. I don't know where the drive bys get the idea that there are still a lot of undecided voters out there. In their imaginations maybe, but last night I attended my Inspector class at the voter registration. In three weeks we pick up our supplies to open the poles.

Really? Could this be possible? And, if so, would you even admit it?

BTW - I like the qualifier completely. Sorta like being a little bit pregnant.

This latest scam is just more of what wingnuts love to do, which is to whine about being victims.

As for the actual debate, my advice to Joe Biden is to keep his answers brief, and express them very calmly and directly. Let Miss Alaska use up the majority of the clock, because the more she talks, the more she talks crazy.

And the more people see of her crazy talk, well you know the rest.

But the 28% wingnut fringe just loves her, and always will, because wingnuts are always taken in by celebrity. They're suckers for it.

You still have time to get off the Trainwreck Express. It's picking up speed, and the end is going to be ugly and humiliating.

you know 64 the sad thing here is no matter how palin does this evening the press and the left will see things how they want to see them or her... and that perception they create, by themselves, seems to take hold. i must say i am a tad flustered how perception leads....

You couldn't be more wrong. What pressure? She doesn't believe there's a problem since she is a "professional" without bias. The MSM doesn't believe there's a problem because they are "professionals" without bias.

It's only Republicans/ conservatives/ righties that have a problem, which is worse than irrelevant to them, it's a joke.

My prediction: Her bias will be apparent, and when the sh*tstorm hits Democrats/ liberals/ lefties will be unapologetic since they'll be too busy making hay out of every minor boo-boo Palin makes.

(Forgive any possible doublepost -- something's screwy ... besides the MSM's myopia.)
