Sen. Messiah Forgets About American Troops

I promise, this will be the last posting on Sen. Messiah Barack for at least a few hours!
That out of the way, the most disturbing aspect of Sen. Messiah Barack's triumphal entry into the Victory Column in Berlin was the fact that the man who wants to be commander-in-chief had no time to visit American soldiers in Southwest Germany according to Der Spiegel. Here is direct from the Der Spiegel blog:

++ Visit to US Military Bases Cancelled ++
1:42 p.m.: SPIEGEL ONLINE has learned that Obama has cancelled a planned short visit to the Rammstein and Landstuhl US military bases in the southwest German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. The visits were planned for Friday. "Barack Obama will not be coming to us," a spokesperson for the US military hospital in Landstuhl announced. "I don't know why." Shortly before the same spokeswoman had announced a planned visit by Obama.

But, according to Ed Morrissey over at Hot Air http://hotair.com/archives/2008/07/24/competing-optics-cheering-germans-or-american-military/, it goes downhill and it appears that there are serious cracks in the moat that surrounds The Anointed One.
Mr. Morrissey quotes this from Jake Tapper at ABC news:

Obama noted that in a break from his whirlwind schedule, “we’ve got some down time tonight. What are you guys gonna do in Berlin? Huh? Huh? You guys got any big. plans? …I’ve never been to Berlin, so…I would love to tour around a little bit.”

So let me get this straight. The Messiah that wants to be the commander-in-chief can find time to tour Berlin. But a trip to see soldiers of the United States, the nation that is going to decide whether or not he will be the COC, does not fit into the schedule?
Well, silly me, I did not realize that this was a campaign trip after all. According to Mr. Morrissey, this is a statement from Team Messiah:

“During his trip as part of the CODEL to Afghanistan and Iraq, Senator Obama visited the combat support hospital in the Green Zone in Baghdad and had a number of other visits with the troops. For the second part of his trip, the senator wanted to visit the men and women at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center to express his gratitude for their service and sacrifice. The senator decided out of respect for these servicemen and women that it would be inappropriate to make a stop to visit troops at a U.S. military facility as part of a trip funded by the campaign.”

OK, then explain this that was said by Sen. Messiah Barack in the second paragraph of the infamous speech :

"Tonight, I speak to you not as a candidate for president. . ."

I think that we are now seeing that this is the gang that could not shoot straight. A simple side trip on the way to France for even a short time would have given Sen. Messiah some credibility on this otherwise disastrous trip. But, no, it is more important for Mr. WorldlyMan to see Berlin, a city that he had never been to.
The soldiers do remember these things and, they vote too Sen. Messiah Barack.

"Who, me?" said Obama. "Me forget about American troops. You must be thinking of someone else. I wouldn't put Europe ahead of our own soldiers."
