The Audacity Of A Dope

You know, I don't understand when people are going around worrying about, "We need to have English- only." They want to pass a law, "We want English-only."
Now, I agree that immigrants should learn English. I agree with that. But understand this. Instead of worrying about whether immigrants can learn English — they'll learn English — you need to make sure your child can speak Spanish. You should be thinking about, how can your child become bilingual? We should have every child speaking more than one language.
You know, it's embarrassing when Europeans come over here, they all speak English, they speak French, they speak German. And then we go over to Europe, and all we can say [is], "Merci beaucoup." Right?

Sen. Messiah Barack Obama via You Tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZprtPat1Vk

Is the above some of the most astonishing commentary from a serious candidate for president of the United States?
Here are the three ways that this is something that Sen. Messiah Barack will not be able to run away from.
1) The smugness of his superiority to that of the rest of us. You know, us bitter, gun-totting, church-going Americans. What Sen. Messiah Barack is saying, once again, is that the European is smarter than the American. Why, many can speak two or more languages. Look at you ugly Americans when you go over to Europe. You can't even speak a lick of the native language.
2) Telling parents and or potential parents that he, the government and "experts" know better than you about your child or children's education. You need to make sure that your child speaks Spanish. Yeah, the foreigners will learn English. But, dagnabit, your child has to learn the language of the immigrant.
3) He really is not all about unity and change but all about insulting a helluva lot of Americans.
Firstly, I am not ashamed to be an American. I am happy and yes, proud to be an American. And, I do not know how to speak and or write fluently in another language. If I were to go to a country that English was not the first language, I would try my best to learn a rudimentary bit of that language. I would expect that of one coming from another land. And, what Sen. Messiah Barack should have said is that those who come here need to learn English. Do you notice the way he said "They'll learn English"? No, Sen. Messiah Barack, they will not learn English. There is no incentive for the Spanish-speaking to learn English.
Secondly, the bizarre nature of the comment is that he really does not know much about education in the United States. Most school districts make students take at least one year of a foreign language if they intend on attending college upon graduation. If one starts in the first year of high school and sticks with that language all the way through, they will become well acquainted enough. And college will make said student proficient enough to speak it as easily as English.
Thirdly, can this man ever make sense when there is not a teleprompter in front of his mug?
I mean, we are a nation where many high schoolers are not proficient in reading, writing and or speaking English. There is a reason, Sen. Messiah Barack, that there are remedial English classes offered by community colleges and state universities. Maybe you do not know that since you did attend a private high school in Hawaii, private Occidental College and Harvard. So, what you should have said is that we need to make sure that all who graduate high school can read, speak and write basic English. Then you could have gone on with the self-flagellating anti-American diatribe.
And the real outrage about this comment from Sen. Messiah Barack? He does not speak Spanish! Read the following:

Asked what languages he himself speaks, Obama answered, “Indonesian and a little Spanish.” Also of note:
Senator
Barack Obama, a Democrat from Illinois, attempted Spanish last year when he delivered his party’s Spanish-language radio address. But his Spanish is limited, and the taping of the speech was “tedious,” the Chicago Tribune’s political blog reported.

Now once again, our secular Messiah, Barack, tells us what we have to do yet does not do as he says himself.
This is possibly more damaging to Sen. Messiah Barack than the infamous San Francisco comments. That gave Sen St. Hillary Clinton an opening and a string of victories before the Messiah ended up having the Democrat superdelagates fall in line and secure, more or less, his nomination.
It really is mind-boggling how Sen. Messiah Barack comes up with this stuff. It really shows an elitist disconnect and that he really is audacious. As a dope!

Old White Males sure don't have the monopoly on arrogance. Hey, Obama, yeah, it would be "nice" if every child were bilingual, but how about learning reading, writing and arithmetic first? Or science? Or history? Or geography? Or how about getting them off their fat butts and into phys-ed? Sheesh, what an arrogant B-Tard.
