Unemployment "Winter Distortions"-Only Team Dear Leader Can Make This Up

Gosh, I really like the White House economic "advisor", Larry Summers.
Remember Larry?
He got ran off as president of Harvard University when he had the nerve to point out some obvious differences between men and women and the career path that has to be taken in the sciences. That was a no-no.
It appears that Larry continues to talk out of turn.
Only in this case, it is in regards to the economy.
Yes, the same economy that affects every man, woman and child in the United States.
Well, good ol' Larry is bracing the American people for what will lie in store when we see the unemployment numbers for January.
You see, if the numbers suck, as Larry is indicating they will, blame it on the weather.
You mean Globaloney Warming?
No, silly! Try the blizzards that affected a huge swath of the United States in January.
Remember, every time there is bad economic news, the Obamawhore media uses the term "unexpected".
A lesson in employment numbers is needed.
The numbers of unemployed usually takes a slight downward turn in November and December. That is the height of the Christmas shopping season. Many retailers increase sales and support staff during this period. By the beginning of January, many of these temporary workers are given the heave-ho.
Yet the Obamawhore media seems to not understand this and will claim that the increase in those filing first-time unemployment claims increased. "Unexpectedly".
Now, we have a precursor to the lousy news.
Just blame the weather.
This is what good ol' Larry had to say in an interview with television business network CNBC:

"The blizzards that affected much of the country during the last month are likely to distort the statistics. So it's going to be very important ... to look past whatever the next figures are to gauge the underlying trends."

Larry, Larry, Larry!!!
The underlying trends suck! Suck! Suck! Suck!
Federal deficits as far as the eye can see. State, county and municipalities unable to meet their financial obligations. A tightening private-sector loan market. Lack of entrepreneurs willing to make the investments that produce the jobs that pay the taxes. The economic trends are abysmal.
Larry, you can not just blame the weather.
It is the economic policies that the administration of the Dear Leader, President Obama, are following.
Increasing government spending and the government payroll is not going to get the United States finances in order. Nationalizing one-sixth of the American economy in a health care "reform" scheme is not going to do it.
But, less government spending and letting money out in the private sector so that the entrepreneurs and small-business people can invest and get people back to work is what is needed.
Instead of that, this administration will blame the weather for people not being able to find work.
Hope and Change, baby! Hope and change!
Oh yes, and how long will it take to run Larry off the reservation?!

Wow. You know even less about economics than you do about health care.

And you don't know shit about health care.

OT - where'd all yer commenters go?

Snarky! Where have you been?! Charming as ever. I do not know where the commenters went to. BTW, have you been following the marching orders from your Dear Leader and calling up talk radio to promote his health care scheme?

1. I'm not really one for following marching orders. I'm not a wingnut.

2. I don't listen to talk radio. It's a waste of time.

3. The proposed health insurance reforms and related legislation, which have passed by majorities in the House of Representatives and in the House of Lords are, collectively, a very tiny step forward in the right direction.

4. Hope your phlebitis scare has quieted down.
