Who Is Responsible For The Trash Bag Saga?

According to this report on The New Majority website, the Republican National Committee has not only failed to donate the clothing that it bought for Gov. Sarah Palin during the presidential campaign. But, much of the clothing is stuffed in trash bags.
Now, lets get a couple of things out of the way.
First, it is no secret that New Majority editor David Frum is not taken by the Alaska governor. Many see this as a direct hit piece on Gov. Palin. The author of the story, Moira Bagley seems to indicate as much in her piece.
Secondly, in and of itself, this story is not much of a story. Except that it dredges up the stupidest act of the 2008 presidential campaign. Other than us Republicans nominating Sen. John "F--- You" McCain in the first place.
Now, the question comes down to this.
The current Republican National Committee Chair is one Mike Dim Wit Duncan. Mr. Dim Wit Duncan was the Chair during the campaign, when the party went on this moronic clothing spending spree in the first place.
Will someone assign Mr. Dim Wit Duncan responsibility for this fiasco?
I will.
Many of us actually sent money to the Republican National Committee. Especially after Sen. "F--- You" McCain asked Gov. Palin to be his running mate. Now, I know that some big donors underwrote this moronic expense. But, it is the P. R., Dim Wit! The P. R.! Especially since Sen. "F--- You" McCain could not raise a million Zimbabwe dollars without a government handout.
If these brain surgeons wanted to spruce of Gov. Palin and her family, was it really necessary to go to crazy designer stores? To Neiman Marcus? Of course not! There are many fine fashions at places like Macy's. Maybe if they wanted a little higher end, Nordstrom could have done.
What these idiots did was not play at Gov. Palin's strength. These idiots made Gov. Palin look like a spendthrift.
Gov. Palin had a well known reputation of shopping for many of her clothes at a consignment shop in Anchorage. And, I will admit I am not a high-end fashion connoisseur. But, her clothing looked fine to me.
There was no reason to do what these big money people did in trying to remake Gov. Palin. Whoever advised this should be fired. And, RNC Chair Dim Wit Duncan should have put a stop to it.
But, Dim Wit Duncan did not.
Now, a lot of clothes are in a slew of trash bags at RNC headquarters.
Sure, Dim Wit Duncan did a great job raising money for the RNC. But, how it was spent was stupid. Plain and simple.
What the RNC can do now is give a few staffers a bag each to take to Goodwill. The Salvation Army. Anywhere that takes clothing donations. And yesterday.
Gov. Palin made good and gave the clothing back in good faith that the RNC would take of the donations on their end. But, alas, they did not and once again, Gov. Palin critics within certain conservative circles and the Republican party can snicker.
But, the one that looks bad is Dim Wit Duncan.
Next week, the Republican National Committee will choose a new chair. It can not be Mike Dim Wit Duncan. Any of the above will do.
And, The New Majority can stop with this kind of reporting. Because Sarah Palin is not going away no matter what you think Mr. Frum, et al. She is here to stay. And, it would be wise to actually see how she has governed and is governing Alaska.
