House Passes "Economic Stimulus" Bill With NO Republican Votes

A little while ago, the House of Representatives passed the so-called "economic stimulus" bill by a vote of 244-188 and not one Republican vote. Even better, 11 Democrats could not swallow this "Crap sandwich" as the House minority leader, John Boehner, referred to the so-called financial services "bailout/rescue".
In President Obama's first attempt to get some hope and change with some bipartisanship, the president utterly failed.
President Obama went to Capitol Hill yesterday to meet with Republicans in both Houses of congress and he would not budge on tax cuts.
So, coupled with President Obama all but accusing Republicans of taking marching orders from Rush Limbaugh, I wished they would, and his unwillingness to to budge on taxes, while the bill did pass, there is no Republican cover.
And, if the economy does not recover as quickly as promised, it will all be on President Obama and the Democrats.
As noted in a previous post, this is not the era of hope and change. It is the hype and no change era. With a $825,000,000,000 price tag.

Note to President Obama: Is that a stimulus package in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

I'd say $825,000,000 is a BIG chunk of "change." ;)
