Can A Republican Be The Dear Leader's Next Congressman?

Oh, the irony! That the good people of Hawai'i's first congressional district may have just enough to elect a Republican to fill the seat of former congressman Neil Abercrombrie. Mr. Abercrombie resigned the safe, very Democrat seat to run for governor.
Because of the way special elections are held in Hawai'i, who ever has the most votes wins. No 50% plus one. No runoff. Winner takes the seat.
Because there are two Democrats running for the seat-and neither lives in the Hawai'i first congressional district-this gives the Republican candidate, Charles Djou, a shot of becoming. . .the Dear Leader, President Obama's congressman.
HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!
Now, to be fair, the Dear Leader, President Obama, has not lived in Hawai'i in years. But, it was in the first district that he grew up. And in a sense he does call it home.
But the problem is that because there are two Democrats running for this seat, that splits the vote and could see Mr. Djou elected with as little as 35% of the total vote.
The two Democrat candidates are Ed Case and Colleen Hanabusa.
The polling has shown Mr. Djou marginally ahead of Mr. Case, who would appear to be the stronger of the two Democrat candidates. The most recent poll conducted by the Democrats show a dead heat between Mr. Djou and Mr. Case.
And it is not like this district has not had a Republican serve in congress before. The last Republican to represent this district was Patricia Saiki who last won in 1988.
Mr. Djou is currently a member of the Honolulu city council in his second term. He attended the same private school as the Dear Leader, President Obama, the Punahou School. And he went on to earn a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. No, not Penn State (nothing negative about Penn State), but U of P-an Ivy League school.
Mr. Djou would make a great addition to congress. And he will have taken a safe Democrat seat to boot.
If you want to help Mr. Djou out with some cash, donate to his Money Wave-it is Hawai'i after all-tomorrow.
A Republican congressman from the home town of the Dear Leader, President Obama. . .I love it!

I don't think it would really have bothered any of our past presidents, but somehow I think it would really bother BHO!
