Today, former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay told radio talker Mike Gallagher that he thinks presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Sen. Barack H. Obama is a Marxist http://briefingroom.thehill.com/2008/06/05/delay-unless-obama-proves-me-wrong-he-is-a-marxist/.
Now, I do believe that Sen. Barack is a socialist, but an outright Marxist is a stretch.
If one really watches those Sen. Barack rallies and listen closely to his speechifying, it is clear that his tone and approach is big government and authoritarian. Regrettably, the two go hand in hand.
It is also something that Sen. Barack seems to hang around people that are rather disgruntled with the United States. Indeed, judging by the numerous comments from Mrs. Michelle Obama, she is leading the anti-American pack.
So, is there any wonder that Sen. Barack would have such a negative view of those out in Pennsylvania who he said were bitter and clinging to guns and God? No. Does it mean that Sen. Barack is a Marxist? No. A socialist? Yes!
One thing about Mr. DeLay. He says whatever is on his mind. It is too bad we do not have more like Mr. DeLay saying what they really think about things.
