Yeah, it has been a while since I last posted anything.
The reality is that this conservative was driven away from the keyboard because of the prospect of seeing the 2016 election a race with Republican presumptive nominee, Donald J. Trump, and the more than likely Democrat nominee, Hillary Clinton.
I am one of those 60% plus Americans that is not happy with my party, the Republican party, choice for president. I certainly will not vote for Mrs. Clinton.
So I have been mulling where does my vote go this election.
It will not go to Mr. Trump no matter how conservative he tries to sound.
As noted, it will not go to Mrs. Clinton unless she somehow totally changes in almost every way and essentially becomes a Republican.
In the aftermath of Mr. Trump becoming the presumptive GOP nominee, my first thought is that I will write in a past candidate in November. But unless he or she were to make a case for such a candidacy, it will be a wasted vote.
My current position is that if I cast a vote for president at all it will be the newly-minted Libertarian candidate, former New Mexico Republican governor, Gary Johnson.
But I am still mulling over whether or not I will even participate in the presidential aspect of voting. I mean, I will still vote for the GOP for congress, local contests and the like. After all, the local elections are in many ways more important that the presidency. At least in a federal republic that is the United States, that is how it should be.
One thing is that I live in the now deep-Blue state of California. We have a race for senate this year as Sen. Barbara Ma'am Boxer is finally leaving the senate stage.
But California has found a way to possibly have the race to replace Sen. Ma'am Boxer be between Democrats only in both the primary and general election.
You see, the once Golden State now has a system of voting that, other than the presidency, in the primary it is the top two that go on to the general election. No matter what political party. Thus the race seems to be between the current Democrat attorney general, Kamala Harris, and Democrat congressman, Loretta Sanchez. Yes, there are Republicans running. But the fact is the only commercials I see are for Miss Harris and Mrs. Sanchez. I will vote for Republican Tom Del Beccarro in the primary hoping that he makes the general election. If not, and no Republican makes the general, I will be a disenfranchised voter and probably skip the senate race as well as the presidential race.
This is the dilemma for conservatives particularly in a state like California.
We may be skipping both the presidential and senate race in November. Because many of us believe that Mr. Trump is not particularly conservative. And why would we vote for a Democrat in a senate race?
Thus it made me think what is the point about writing about politics?
Then I realized that this blog is not just about politics but what passes for culture and many other current events.
And while I may rarely write about the presidential race, there is so much that is worth writing about.
That is what you will get from here on out.
This conservative is back.

Thoughts On Iowa
Last night the voters spoke in Iowa and delivered victories to Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Ted Cruz.
In terms of delegates, both winners simply received the majority of, not all. Thus Sen. Cruz ended up with eight delegates. Second place finisher, Donald J. Trump, and third place finisher, Sen. Marco Rubio ended up with seven delegates each. On the Democrat side, Mrs. Clinton gets 23 delegates and her opponent, Sen. Bernie Sanders will get 21 delegates.
A lot of criticism is thrown Iowa's way (as well as New Hampshire) being the first in the nation to vote in the respected party primaries. I think that they are good states to see how a candidate can deal with organization. Clearly Sen. Cruz out hustled all the other Republican candidates. His team singled out the state's conservative, evangelical Christian voters and Sen. Cruz scored their votes. Like it or not, the Donald did not take the old fashioned retail politicking and organization seriously and it showed. Also, sorry but skipping the last debate before the caucus did not help. No matter what excuse the Donald uses to not participate in the debate, many caucus participants said that eventually determined their vote. And who would have thought Marco Rubio would have had such a strong third-place finish looking at the polls?
As I noted last night, clearly there was something called Marcomentum that catapulted Sen. Rubio to nearly a huge upset and forcing the Donald to a potential third place finish. That is breathing life into a campaign that really needs it.
Ted Cruz went one way too long in his victory speech. And while his religious references did not bother me, I thought about the rest of the nation and places that would be totally turned off by such overt Christianity. Sen. Cruz will have to find a way to be less evangelical Christian preacher and more able to really expand the base of his support to those people he, and I, believe he needs to win a general election campaign. We will see if Sen. Cruz can pivot in much more secular New Hampshire.
Donald J. Trump has to begin to take this campaign seriously if he is really in it to win it. The Donald will have to spend real money for organization and broadcast advertising. And he will have to participate in debates no matter what.
Marco Rubio needs to continue to build on the Marcomentum and get to second place in New Hampshire, simple as that.
For the Democrats, Mrs. Clinton has to be humiliated that she could not put Bernie Sanders, a self-avowed "democratic" socialist, away in Iowa. I will say it now. The Democrats are that far to the left that I will not be surprised if Sen. Sanders ends up the Democrat nominee. What we are seeing is the left-wing crack up and the end of the Obama coalition. And the only saving grace for Mrs. Clinton is the whole Super-delegates that are there to guarantee an "establishment" candidate wins the nomination. We shall see but there is no doubt Mrs. Clinton is going to lose badly to the senator from next-door Vermont next Tuesday.
The funny thing about all of this is that it has not made the race any easier for either political party. It is all still up in the air. And maybe for a while.

Why Hillary Will NOT Be President
I know, I know that the granny in the pants suit, Hillary Clinton, surprised me and is running for president of the United States even though I predicted that she would not.
One surprise does not mean that it's all over and we should just accept the premise that because of institutional biases, Mrs. Clinton will be elected president of the United States.
In fact, this is beginning to remind me of 2008 when Mrs. Clinton, with all the same biases for her, still failed to become the Democrat nominee for president. She lost to a virtual unknown senator from Illinois named Barack Obama.
Right now there are two announced candidates besides Mrs. Clinton seeking the Democrat nomination for president.
They are the former governor of Maryland, Martin O'Malley and open socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I/D-Vt.).
The leftywhore media is dismissing these two as nothing but gnats in the March of Hillary to the Democrat nod.
Again, I will remind you of 2008.
Yet why is the open socialist, Sen. Sanders, at this point only within 10 points of Mrs. Clinton in this poll? In New Hampshire? And while she has a comfortable lead with women, men support Sen. Sanders. And what about this poll showing Mrs. Clinton with a 12 point lead over Sen. Sanders also in New Hampshire? Even if one takes into account a rather high margin of error, at best for Mrs. Clinton she could be ahead of Sen. Sanders by 18%. At worst she could only be six points ahead of Sen. Sanders. And while this poll shows Mrs. Clinton far ahead in Iowa and South Carolina, these are states that favor organization (Iowa) and establishment (South Carolina). Average the two polls out and Mrs. Clinton is only ahead of Sen. Sanders in New Hampshire by 11 points. Less than a year before the first in the nation primary casts it's vote.
I wrote seemingly long ago that the Democrat party has turned far left. They nominated the Dear Leader, President Obama, twice. And Mrs. Clinton has been playing catch up ever since. The reality is that Sen. Sanders reflects probably of majority of self-identified Democrats than Mrs. Clinton. And somewhere in between is the former governor, Mr. O'Malley, who will gain traction. I believe that it will be a serious 3 person race for the Democrat nomination.
In the end, for all the advantages of money, Democrat establishment support and seemingly favorable terrain, Mrs. Clinton may not be able to overcome the left turn of her party.
And that is the reason I do not believe in the end Mrs. Clinton will not be the nominee of the Democrat party. The party has moved decisively to the left and Mrs. Clinton is walking a tight rope that she will more than likely fall from. The only thing is whether it will be to Mr. O'Malley or Sen. Sanders.

You Know The Dems Are Desperate If They Think A Hilary-For-Biden Switch Will Save The Election
A morning that started off with ripe speculation that the Dear Leader, President Obama, was going to pull a switch of positions by the end of the day ended up, as I could have told you, with no move made.
As I was heading for the day job, speculation was rampant that Vice-President Dim Wit Joe Biden would be replaced in his job by the current Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, wife of the former president, William Jefferson Blythe Clinton.
I mean, this has been a really crappy week for Vice-President Dim Wit.
At one campaign rally in Danville, Virginia, our illustrious vice-president made not one, not two, but three major blunders.
First, Vice-President Dim Wit tried to make a point about what he and the Dear Leader, President Obama, see as a big policy of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, Mitt Romney. You must watch the video for the full effect of Vice-President Dim Wit's point. Whether anyone likes it or not, when one from the North does a Southern drawl and says, "He's gonna put y'all back in chains!"
there is no need for any attempt at "context". Oh, did I mention that the crowd in Danville was more than half Black? Get it? Even though Vice-President Dim Wit was talking about banking regulation and somehow slipped in a loaded phrase in Southern and maybe Black dialect.
I do not really have to write this, but I will.
If a White Republican, oh I don't know, maybe Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) had uttered the phrase to a Black audience, would he be the Republican vice-presidential nominee beyond 48 hours?
OK, while talking like a clown to said Virginia audience, he implores the multitudes to get out and work hard. So that Team Dear Leader can win. North Carolina.
Last I knew, one can not be in two places at once. I guess unless you are our illustrious vice-president. I think he is on two planets at once.
And to top that off, according to some reports, Vice-President Dim Wit was mocking the woman to his left doing the sign-language for those hard-of-hearing and or deaf.
Brilliant I say! Frickin' brilliant!
So today, The Weekly Standard fueled rampant speculation that today maybe a big day in the Democrat presidential campaign.
OK, it did not happen. One can not look at a White House schedule and assume much of anything.
It is known that when the president and vice-president do lunch, it is usually on a Thursday afternoon.
So, what about this meeting with Mrs. Clinton? Why the three of them together?
Does not matter because of this writing, Vice-President Dim Wit is still a heartbeat away from the presidency.
GULP!!!!!
OK, this conservative Republican is going to explain to the panicky Dems why there will not be a switch in vice-presidents unless Vice President Dim Wit dies before the election.
1) The Dear Leader, President Obama, can not admit the biggest mistake he made-before becoming president.
Yup, on that fateful day back in 2008, a Saturday afternoon in August then Democrat senator Messiah Barack asked one of the longest-serving senators in history to be his vice-president. We on the Republican side and the right laughed uproariously. Democrats thought it was brilliant because they kind of thought then Sen. Dim Wit was brilliant. At the time, I said that this decision will come to haunt then Sen. Messiah Barack. While Sen. Messiah Barack did win the election, it was certainly because of Sen. Dim Wit. I would say it was despite him. The United States was war-weary and economically on the ropes. And like it or not, Sen. Messiah Barack was saying all the right things.
Since the election, Vice-President Dim Wit has made gaffe after gaffe after gaffe. But one thing is that he singlehandedly forced the Dear Leader, President Obama, to finally come out of the closet and publicly support same-sex marriage. But by doing so way before the Democrat convention in two weeks, opponents have been able to mobilize and probably will be part of the voting coalition that votes out the Dear Leader, President Obama and Vice-President Dim Wit. I believe that if the Dear Leader, President Obama, had to do it all over again, he would have asked Hillary Clinton.
2) A switch this late reeks of total desperation.
Of course it does. How can anyone spin it that it does not look like as the Dear Leader, President Obama, is slipping he suddenly pulls off a switcharoo? Not event the Obamawhore media would be able to pull it off without looking like buffoons. If any one thinks that Mrs. Clinton will save the day without huge concessions on the Dear Leader, President Obama's part, again, they are kidding themselves. Had a switch been seriously contemplated, it would have occurred at the beginning of this year. Again, unless Vice-President Dim Wit dies before the convention, he will be on the ticket. Timing is everything, and doing such a monumental change now would prove to be desperate.
3) Possible constitutional problems.
If a switch is to be made, what would happen to Vice-President Dim Wit Biden? Would he serve the term to January 20, 2013? If not and it was to be Mrs. Clinton, she would have to be confirmed by the senate. Won't. Happen. Republicans would do all in their power to keep the vice-presidency vacant. Because guess who would then be next in line? Speaker of the House, Republican John Boehner. A very real reason that this change will not happen.
4) Why would Mrs. Clinton want to help the Dear Leader, President Obama, and vice versa?
Exactly! The reality is that Mrs. Clinton would not want to really help the Dear Leader, President Obama, save his sorry butt. And he may not want to see Mrs. Clinton actually succeed him should, God forbid, he win a second term. I think that while there is cordial, professional relationship between the two, I do not think that they like each other. If she were to somehow step up and they lose, it will be hard for her to be a real front runner for the Dems in 2016. Just a fact. And if they were to win, who would really be in charge? See reason number two again.
5) All this exposes a weak, tired and old Democrat bench.
The fact of the matter is that in 2016, Mrs. Clinton will be 70 years old. Vice-President Dim Wit Biden, should he not be committed to a supervised senior housing center, would be a ripe old 76. What about the new generation of Democrats? Who are they? Look at the congressional leadership, almost all fossils themselves. Again, while Mitt Romney would also be 70 years old, look at a Vice-President Paul Ryan, not yet even 50 years old. And congressional leaders, some about the same age as Mr. Ryan as well as many governors.
Though I went through a list, not nearly full at that, the short reality is that Hillary Clinton will not be the vice-presidential candidate under the Dear Leader, President Obama. Dim Wit Joe Biden is it. And once again, it will prove to be a possible costly choice of judgement made by Barack Obama.
I leave you with this thought.
To get out of a room, choose who worries you more as vice-president or potential vice-president. Joe Biden or Sarah Palin?

And This Is Just One Of The Rogue Galleries Sen. Barack Wants To Talk To
The soon to be Democrat presidential nominee, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill) believes in his heart of hearts that the United States can "dialogue" with rogue nations and their terrorist allies anywhere, anytime and with no preconditions. Preparations, yes, preconditions, no.
This little ditty from the Campaign Standard blog shows that Sen. Barack is really, I mean really, going to have his work cut out for him.
Saleh Riqab, Hamas’ deputy minister of religious endowment, took the time on a TV interview a couple of weeks ago to explain Bill Clinton’s scandals to the Al Aqsa TV audience:
Riqab: Both Democrats and Republicans compete to please the state of the Jews. That's why when a Democrat comes to occupied Palestine, he puts on a religious skullcap, goes to the Western Wall, bangs his head against the wall, and says: 'Your philosophy and the need to please you is now inside my head.' They all compete with one another, but the Jews maintain a balance, and they always prefer the Christian Zionists.
If a Democrat comes to power, like [Bill] Clinton - who served them well in Oslo and elsewhere, and almost served them in the second Camp David, but then made statements [they didn't like] - what did Zionism do? It sent him the Jewish Monica, with whom Clinton had sex in the American White House.
Clinton left [the White House], but there are thousands of pages documenting his sexual depravity, because he had sex in the White House. I read a report that Clinton used to call Arab leaders and talk to them while she was having sex with him.
Interviewer: My God!
Saleh Riqab: These things are documented, but the Arabs don't read them.
After reading this report, is there any wonder why Hamas is the one group of lunatic tyrants that Barack Obama is not eager to chat with?
I know, I know, Sen. Barack does not believe any of this stuff. After all, it is just some propaganda after from the fringe. Hell, I mean, Sen. Barack has convinced a lot of people that he could be a member of a church for 20 years and not be influenced by the ranting, raving sermons of one "Rev." Jeremiah Wright. I am certain that Sen. Barack, as president, can convince same people that dealing with these kind of demented people is no big deal either.
It is beyond amazing that the Democrat party really believes that the American people are just so fed up with President Bush that they can nominate this European socialist type and think they will dress him up as a secular messiah and he will win the White House.
I think that the Democrats have never been as certain as the Obamagasmic DDBMSM that Sen. Barack is the right candidate. There is a reason that almost half of Democrat voters have chosen Sen. Hilary Clinton. It is not just a name. Even with her glaring inadequacies, she is Sen. John McCain compared to this Sen. Barack fellow. She would never make such inane comments about talking to all comers with no preconditions.
Once more, this shows that no matter who becomes president, it is going to be a very, very, difficult four years dealing with such frightening people as these with Hamas.
