Why I Have Lost ALL Respect For President Obama

I believe that if you look in an updated dictionary and find the word douchebrain, you will find as a definition two or three words.
Barack (Hussein) Obama.
In a panel discussion this past Wednesday at CINO* Georgetown University, the Dear Leader, President Obama, finally let his inner socialism spew out of his mouth.
The Dear Leader, President Obama, blamed the rich and or wealthy for the increase of poverty in the United States. Poverty that has quite bluntly increased under his stellar leadership.
In this account, The Dear Leader, President Obama, had this to say about hedge-fund managers:

"I'm not saying this because I dislike hedge fund managers or think they are evil. You pretty much have more than you'll ever use and your family will ever use."

In between the words of the Dear Leader, President Obama, is an anecdote about the top 25 hedge-fund managers making more than all the kindergarten teacher in the United States combined. What our Dear Leader, President Obama, failed to mention is how hedge-fund managers love giving their money to the Democrats. Tom Steyer is but one example. But if you do not believe me, here is some more proof from Open Secrets. I will concede that the tide is turning and they are donating more to Republicans. But maybe, just maybe they are tired of being like part of a Stockholm Syndrome cult and don't like giving money to the very people that want to take as much of it as possible.
And why does the Dear Leader, President Obama, refer to those who have any means as "society's lottery winners."?
Most importantly, who in the hell is the Dear Leader, President Obama, to say what is or is not enough money anyone should make and or have? The problem is that he let his inner socialism out with that comment. Too bad the Dear Leader, President Obama, did not take a look in the mirror at his own, very privileged life.
But it sure did not end there. The economic envy became education and by extension social envy.
In the eyes of our president, it is an awful thing for people wanting to send their children to private schools.
Again, in the words of the Dear Leader, President Obama:

“Those who are doing better and better, more skilled, more educated, – luckier – having greater advantages are withdrawing from the commons. Kids start going to private schools, kids start working out at private clubs instead of the public parks, an anti-government ideology then disinvests from those common goods and those things that draw us together.”

UGH! SMH** until it bleeds!
Does this dude believe the horse crap that comes out of his mouth?!
A primer on the Dear Leader, President Obama and his trajectory to the White House is needed.
Yes, Barack Obama was born in Hawai'i in 1961. He spent his early formative years in Indonesia and, surprise! Attended private school. When he did come back to the United States in his teenage years, Mr. Obama went to the prestigious Punahou School, courtesy of his banker grandma, you know, the one scared of black people on the street. And when Mr. Obama went to college, it sure as hell was not East Los Angeles Junior College. No, no, no!!! He went to Occidental College and for some reason did not finish undergraduate studies there. He transferred to Columbia University and finished there. And of course went on to Harvard law school.
Yeah, some interaction with the downtrodden of society.
In reality he did all the community organizing thing after years of left-wing indoctrination at elite private schools. And remember in his own words he talked about the kind of people he hung out with at Occidental:

“To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets.”

Oh yes, these are your average folks. Yes indeed.
Where does this crap come from? Seriously? Most people do not know folks like this unless they are themselves politically active and on the left.
The total rank hypocrisy of this president is just so out there. I mean the dude has totally benefited from being an elitist himself. He did not grow up in poverty like say Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan. He did not have a moderate middle-class upbringing like Harry S Truman. He did not have a quintessential middle-class lifestyle as Gerald Ford and Richard Nixon.
Yet he dumps and promotes lies to foment class warfare.
I did not want to go to the fact the president and Mrs. Dear Leader, Michelle Obama, send their two daughters to the moat elite private school in the Washington, D. C. area, Sidwell Friends School. But hey, why not point out his hypocrisy?
Most Americans, rightfully, aspire to get to a higher station in life than they may have been born into. Very few are in the truly elite families of the United States. Most would like to be able to attain a home, work a job that they at least like and maybe get a promotion or two. Have enough money to live a comfortable retirement and to leave a little something to their children if they have any. And that includes those at the bottom of the economic ladder.
Maybe instead of dissing private schools, let the states have education back and break the power of teacher unions that dominate, especially in the large cities.
Instead of dumping on those of means, show that anyone can attain the same position. One of the reasons I love the show Shark Tank is that those who are the sharks are looking for something to take off with. They are investing in an idea and yes, eventually jobs. No, nSot everyone can get on Shark Tank, but there are people who are like them all across the United States.
Why can't our president unite the nation instead of dividing it every chance that he gets? Why can't he extol the virtues of hard work? Of the entrepreneur spirit that made the United States? Why can't he suggest that there are good ideas in private schooling and what needs to be done is bring them to public education? Why can't he stop playing the victim card and play the truth, the audacity of hope?
By letting the inner socialist out in the open, I have lost the little respect that I had for the Dear Leader, President Obama. I doubt he reads this blog (maybe the NSA does!) but what he needs to do is reach out and show a little humility. It will go a long way.

A Poverty Huckster Exposed

Let me tell you something about the left that irritates the hell out of me.
That is when they engage in role playing.
Not just role playing but lying about their role playing.
The latest role player is one Linda Walther Tirado.
She wrote for The Puffington Post this gem about what it is like to be poor. How terrible her life is being in poverty. Going to college and working two jobs. How hard it is if the Planned Parenthood office is so far and costs so much in gas money for someone in her horrible condition. Oh and there is plenty more. It is essentially a justification for poor decision making that poor people make.
Only problem with Mrs. Tirado.
She is not who she claims she is.
If not for the intrepid reporting of Angelica Leicht at the alternative Houston Press, why many of the people who have a little knowledge of this would continue to believe her sad, sad story. Many of my friends will still pass this around on Facebook, but maybe they will do so with a disclaimer. Maybe MSNBC host Toure will apologize for perpetuating the lie. About the time Al Sharpton does for lying about the Tawana Bradley rape hoax. 
So, lets take a look at some of Mrs. Tirado's claims of poverty.
One thing that she's truthful about is that she is married. But here is the first paragraph of the post.

Rest is a luxury for the rich. I get up at 6AM, go to school (I have a full courseload, but I only have to go to two in-person classes) then work, then I get the kids, then I pick up my husband, then I have half an hour to change and go to Job 2. I get home from that at around 1230AM, then I have the rest of my classes and work to tend to. I'm in bed by 3. This isn't every day, I have two days off a week from each of my obligations. I use that time to clean the house and soothe Mr. Martini and see the kids for longer than an hour and catch up on schoolwork. Those nights I'm in bed by midnight, but if I go to bed too early I won't be able to stay up the other nights because I'll fuck my pattern up, and I drive an hour home from Job 2 so I can't afford to be sleepy. I never get a day off from work unless I am fairly sick. It doesn't leave you much room to think about what you are doing, only to attend to the next thing and the next. Planning isn't in the mix.

Wow! What a sad life she has. I would actually feel somewhat bad for her if it was true in any sense. 
But, alas, it's not. 
It is a totally fictional account of poverty from the beginning to the end.
According to Miss Leicht, Mrs. Tirado not only wrote a lie of a piece but also the comments and rebuttals. 
And the totally best part? 
Mrs. Tirado is pimping for money for herself at a website called Go Fund Me. And let me be clear, Go Fund Me is a good site and many if not most people that use it are truly good and well meaning. It should not be impugned because of this lying scum.
So why am I so upset?
Could it be that she went to a boarding school as a child? A boarding school that the former 2012 Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney attended? Could it be that she has a home that her parents helped her attain? I mean, it might not be a mansion, but I am certain that it is not the Roach Motel that she writes about. And tell me, pray tel, how this gal in her impoverished state found time to not only blog about but be a political consultant? Was that in between the two jobs or college? Oh, she writes about her crappy and missing teeth. Did I mention that she is married to a marine? A marine that would have, oh I don't know, HEALTH AND DENTAL insurance? Oh, and do go to this link because her photo here looks like she has decent looking teeth to me. Maybe its the back teeth. The teeth few people if any see. 
You see, I don't like people that lie, and Mrs. Tirado did no matter what she tries to write in the form of a disclaimer. 
She has never, ever lived a moment of her life as a poor person. And her writing about it reads like a cheesy Hollywood script written by someone else that fantasize about what it is like to be poor.
Oh, and the Houston Press writer, Angelica Leicht? 
She wrote the truth about her young life in real poverty. Her mama was not taking a toothpick to kill roaches. Such a horrid stereotype. And Miss Leicht makes another point from her reality. That poor people are NOT dirty. Many have at least one parent that at the very least keeps them clean and clothed. Those parents do not want their situation to affect their children as much as possible.
I do not need some poverty fan gal to write to anyone about being poor when she is not and has never been. I do not need her to be a shnorror* off of well meaning people who have "donated" nearly $62,000 for who knows what. Supposedly to write a book to stick up for the little people.
Hey, Linda! If you want to get money to fund something, maybe you should try a bank first. You know they lend money to people. People who do have the means to pay back as I know that you do. Maybe get some like minded people to invest in your scam book or what you admit is your own "naval-gazing" 
How many people that really do not have disposable income do you think you have fleeced by your tale of lies? Do you feel any, I mean any guilt? You should because it is not a reality to lie about your circumstances. To make people feel sorry for you. So sorry that you beg for money online. 
I could actually write about lean times in my own life. I had some growing up and even as an adult. Hell, I'm unemployed right now. The thing is that I don't think it is right for me to write such things about myself. For me they are not a part of my life I need to share with a wide audience. You may not get it, but I do have some pride and yes, morality. The pride is I do not want people to look at those aspects of my life with some kind of pity. They are but part of a larger picture. The morality is that I would not use that to shnorror money from people for any reason. 
What Mrs. Tirado reminds me of, in a low-rent way, is the left-wing do gooders who pretend to be poor and or homeless. Or the politicians who claim that they will live like a poor person on Food Stamps for what, a week. You know, to bring publicity on the plight of the poor. I would love for one of these people to have a talk with Jason the surfer dude and his plight of poverty. In fact, Jason the surfer dude and Mrs. Tirado do have something in common. 
They are both leeches off of taxpayers and people that are really poor and really could use some of Mrs. Tirado's money and Jason's food stamps. 
People like Mrs. Tirado do not open a window on the world of being poor and or impoverished. They open a dark window on the soul of one that would lie about such things and profit from it.

*Shnorror- A begger; someone who always looking for a handout or a free ride; the guy who's always in the bathroom when the check comes; the person who's constantly borrowing but never returning; someone who's continually sponging off others. 


 

Do Not Ignore Illegal Immigration

Two things come to mind as to why I am writing about an issue that has been a thorn in the side of the United States as long as I can remember.
The dreaded subject is illegal immigration.
This story in the Riverside Press-Enterprise over this past weekend highlighted the plight of farm workers in one of the wealthiest areas of the United States.
Now, before you think your humble blogger has gone all bleeding-heart on you, read on.
In reading the article, I wondered if these people would be better off as seasonal workers that come to the United States, do the farm work, and return to Mexico. While they are here under a guest-worker program, they would be subject to the laws of the United States. Many of those laws would protect these people from the clear abuse they suffer in these so-called trailer parks. And one thing the article did not address is how many of the people were in fact illegal aliens.
I suppose to some people, it is not relevant.
But I strongly disagree.
Does anyone really think that if these people had a form of legal immigration status, this clear abuse would happen? I doubt that at the scale we see in this article.
Yet we have people such as conservative radio talker Michael Medved insisting that illegal immigration is not a big deal. That it is a side show, if you will. And the examples he cites in the way the Republicans have addressed the issue recently actually supports his case.
But instead of running away and ignoring the issue, hoping against hope that it will go away, I think that the newspaper article is a great starting point in how GOPers need to address the problem of illegal immigration.
For me, I will say this. There is a middle ground.
I have layed out a three-pronged plan that recognizes this reality.
One, there are a lot of bad people involved in illegal immigration. Including many illegals themselves. Clearly not a majority and not a large minority. But enough to cause problems in the United States.
Thus anyone here in the United States illegally five years or less, goodbye. Go back home. Never come back. Never think you will ever have a chance to become a citizen or anything of that nature.
That alone would deport a sizable number of illegal immigrants.
People that are here illegally six to ten years have to go back to the country of origin and begin an expedited process to become a guest worker, a green-card carrier or start the process under one of the two ways to become an American citizen. But they must go home.
Now there are illegal immigrants that have been here 10 plus years. These are the people that, more than likely, want to become citizens. While they should not be anywhere near the front of the line, they should be in the line. They should be given at the very least green cards and begin the process to become citizens.
Now, all of the above does several things.
One, there will be a lot of people here in the United States illegally deported. Pure and simple.
Two, those that are here will get some legal protection. What they do not have now. People like those living in the squalor of the "trailer parks" in these communities in Riverside county would have some real and legal recourse. And is that not a way to solve a problem with a sense of humanity yet provide a need for less expensive employment in the farm fields?
And really, does anyone really think that the majority of those that have been here illegally a decade or more are totally loyal to their country of origin? I do not. Overwhelmingly, the majority want to be Americans. And many are not just doing the jobs that Americans "won't" do.
But how do serious people running for president of the United States speak on this issue without deteriorating into bufoonishness?
That is the 64,000 peso question.
Well for one, do not make those of us who are seriously concerned about a very serious problem out to be whack jobs. We are worried about a nation that will allow laws to be flaunted and allowing people to not just be here illegally but suffering in many cases.
Two, do not promote anything that even appears to be something that gives illegals any appearance of a deal. The so-called DREAM act at the state and federal level is one such situation. States nor the federal government need to give an unfair advantage of students from illegal parents. They can go a college or university, just have to pay the out of state tuition. Especially in these tough economic times, that is not a wise thing to do.
Third, remember that these are human beings. Most are decent and good and do not want to come to the United States but for the reason of the thought of a better life.
Sorry but this article by Susan Straight is right. If we Americans were in the same dire straits that most Mexican and or Central American illegal aliens are in, we would be doing the same thing.
In talking about the subject of illegal immigration especially from Mexico, we need to pressure the politicians to make the kind of political and economic reforms that will move the poor into the middle class. If there is a strong middle class in Mexico, that will dramatically curtail illegal immigration.
Until the politicians figure out how to discuss the problem of illegal immigration, we will continue to see the situations in Riverside county. And have people basically cover their eyes to one of the most vexing long-term problems in the United States.
