Barbara Ma'am Boxer Continues To Be The WORST Senator

Seriously, I just hope that if California is stuck with either Kamala Harris or Loretta "Woo! Woo! Woo!" Sanchez as U. S. senator after next year for anything is a improvement over current Sen. Barbara Ma'am Boxer.
She is without a doubt the WORST person in the senate and that is saying a lot.
Look, both political parties have some hack people elected in safe seats and are none too bright. To be fair, a Republican senator I can think of that fits is Louisiana's David Vitter, who just lost his bid to become Louisiana governor.
But Sen. Vitter can't hold a candle to Sen. Ma'am Boxer.
Unbelievably after one of the worst terrorist attacks on American soil since 9/11, in a push for federal gun control laws, the ignorant tool said this:

Sensible gun laws work. We've proven it in California. And were not going to give up.

Has the tool been under a rock for the past what, 24 plus hours?! Did she not see the carnage that was committed in a state with some of the toughest gun laws in the land? How in the hell could this tool say what she said?
Yes, two people had a helluva lot of firepower. Most were high-powered at that. And all indications are that the two terrorists that carried out the attack yesterday in San Bernardino, Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik, obtained the weapons legally. And because of the California laws regarding magazines and the like, they are different than in other parts of the United States. They take longer to reload. And don't forget the bomb factory that was in the home of the two terrorists. And since they were killed in a shootout with law enforcement, we will not know what the California gun charges would have been.
But because today was a vote to try to increase background checks and allegedly close a "loophole" about gun show sales, our national embarrassment spoke in her usual manner.
Dumb.
People still get guns. Law abiding citizens follow the law to get guns. Some criminals do as well. Most who are criminals, however, do not. Even an outright gun ban, which is what is had essentially in France, can't stop people, especially committed terrorists, from obtaining weapons. Whether they be guns and or IED's or God forbid even worse.
What matters is how illegal use of guns are prosecuted. Not whether the person had the gun in the first place.
Sen. Ma'am Boxer's replacement has to be better than her for she is not a national treasure but a national buffoon.

Dems Mad At Losing Colorado Recall Vote

The Democrats at all levels are upset that two state senators in Colorado were recalled for their endorsement of a slew of gun control legislation.
What a shock!
But the reason that they are giving is sooooo rich.
Colorado Democrats were clearly already worried that they were losing so they started the meme that it was voter suppression.
Voter suppression?!
So how was that done?
Well because for one, a court decision made the elections ones where one had to actually show up to an actual voting booth.
OH MY!
How awful! Awful if people really cared about the vote, they would have to actually show the hell up to vote. That they could not in between sparking up a doobie* vote and if in the right frame of mind mail the ballot.
Not that there is any possibility of voter fraud, right?
Do read the other link for even the dim DNC chair, Congressman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, is trotting out the voter suppression meme.
It was a recall election. And the voters that cared would have got off their rumps and voted. Whether early voting or on the actual election day, they would.
A clue here.
No matter how easy and slippery voting can be made, the reality is that there is still a wide swath of people that will just not vote no matter what.
So Dems, stop with suggesting the reason two Democrat state senators in Colorado lost their recall elections is because of some mythical voter suppression.
The reason that they lost is because voters did not like their votes on gun control. Some state citizens got enough signatures, per the Colorado state constitution, to launch a recall election. And they won the recall.
Gee, maybe it is the policies that got them in trouble. Maybe THAT is the reason that they lost.

Gun Grabbing State Senators Recalled In Colorado

They thought that they could ram multiple gun control measures in Colorado and not face consequence, but last night two Democrat state senators paid the price as they were recalled and replaced by gun-rights Republicans.
State senator John Morse, the Democrat president of the state senate and state senator Angela Giron were recalled for forcing through a slew of gun control measures that were clear over reactions to the movie theatre masacare in Aurora and the masacare of children in Newtown, Connecticut.
Even a fellow Democrat state senator, Lois Tochtrop, warned that the measures were too much.
Here is what she said, prophetically.

"I feel like all these gun bills have done-to quote the last words in the movie Tora! Tora! Tora!-is to awaken a sleeping giant."

And of course she was correct.
And here is the carnage for each candidate.

Senate District 11, recall of John Morse
Yes 51%
No 49%
Senate District 3, recall of Angela Giron
Yes 56%
No 44%

And here is the scary part for Democrats.
State Sen. Giron was in a more Democrat district than Sen. Morse. And she lost by a wider margin. I think Sen. Morse had the fact that he was the senate president going for him and thus it was a closer race.
But no matter, these two defeats made the Democrat hold on the state senate a tenous one at a one-seat majority. All it takes is one flip of party to have a tie and one more to put it in Republican control.
I do not think that either will happen.
But what will happen is that more than likely the Democrats will lose the state senate outright at the polling booth. As well as the state House of Represenatatives. And probably the governor's mansion as current Gov. John Hickenlooper, the worst named governor in the United States, is dropping in the polls and Republicans are falling all over themselves to run against the governor.
Much of the gun legislation of the past year throughout the United States was a reaction to each other. Some states tightened already strict laws while others made it easier to obtain a gun. A classic Blue-Red divide.
But Colorado has a long libertarian sreak and that was what made many surprised how the legislature and governor, who was cautious in the early days of the Aurora move house masacare, went after guns with a vengeance.
After all, this is one of two states that the voters okayed the essential legalization of marijuana.
But the one Democrat that respects her voters is Sen. Tochtrot. She voted against five of seven gun-grabbing laws.
The left-wing of the Colorado Democrat party, not so much.
Again, they basically suspended all legitimate debate and rammed the bills through. It is what Dems do when they want something badly about at all levels of government.
And this is the result of that kind of governing.
When the GOP does take back the legislature and the governor's mansion, they will roll back if not rescind much of the laws. After all, they can't run a recall that proved to be sucessful and just let it be.
A lesson for the Republicans nationwide is to fight and fight hard to win elections. Because while this recall and rhe election of two Republicans feels good, it was because the people said enough is enough.
The sleeping giant, the people, are awakened.

And My President Could Not Attend Thatcher Funeral For This Epic Fail?

It is truly amazing and I have to be brutally honest that I am ashamed of my president, the Dear Leader, Barack Hussein Obama.
Yes, although I did not vote for him and do not support his policies, he is still my president. He is the representative of this Great Land. He is the face of America no matter our politics.
Why am I ashamed?
Because our Dear Leader, President Obama, and the current administration could not find someone of a high level, even the president himself, to attend the funeral of the late British prime minister, Baroness Lady Thatcher.
What did Team Obama do?
Well, they sure as hell did not send any current administration official, like the current secretary of state, John F. Kerry.
But they did find two former SoS's to send.
Former SoS's James Baker and George Schultz led the official American delegation to the just short of state funeral for the former prime minister, known as the Iron Lady.
And hey, to show the importance of the event, they rounded off the delegation with the current charge d' affaires of the United States embassy and a former ambassador to Britain.
OK, so if you think that I am being petty, consider this.
When the Venezuela strong-man Hugo Chavez went to his reward several weeks ago, Team Obama sent also the current charge d' affaires of the United States embassy in Caracas. But they also sent a current Democrat congressman, Gregory Meeks, and a former congressman, William Delahunt.
So, why not send a current member of congress to the Thatcher funeral? Or a couple of members, one from each party?
Because the message is clear.
Team Obama wanted to make nice-nice with Venezuela while Britain, eh not so much.
Since Team Obama came to Washington in 2009, the list of slights to our closest European ally is pretty long.
Another reason that Team Obama could not be bothered with proper protocol for the funeral of a former British prime minister?
Well the full-court press for gun control legislation that was voted on today in the senate.
You know how it did?
Epic. Fail.
The vaunted compromise Manchin-Toomey amendment lost 46-54, six votes short of passage. Which in turn led to defeat of other amendments and the gun control bill will officially be pulled from the senate floor tomorrow. Here is the round up from HotAir.com.
OK, the full force of the Obama administration was used again for what? For quite possibly the worst defeat for the administration.
In reality, a quick trip to Britain may have been a good thing.
Again, the priority of the administration was on an issue that maybe four percent of the public believe is a major issue. While most people are still focused on the economy and jobs, Team Obama is focused on. . .gun control.
And a little more diminishment of United States prestige abroad.
Look, no question that this current president and the former prime minister would be, well pretty much opposed to everything each other stood for.
But, one should think that even this administration would have the wherewithal to at the very least send the current SoS, Mr Kerry, to what ends up being a state funeral since Queen Elizabeth herself showed up.
A real coup would have been for the Dear Leader, President Obama, himself to show up. There would not be an issue of security for it was as strong for this as possible considering the local loons that promised trouble.
But, again, this administration has no clue on just about anything.
But hey, it does know how to lose on legislation graciously as the Dear Leader, President Obama, showed here:

Piers Morgan vs. Ben Shapiro On The 2nd Amendment

Yes, the 2nd amendment to the United States constitution has been in the news a lot lately, hasn't it?
Much of why there is such a conversation on the subject stems from the Massacre at Sandy Hook, Connecticut.
Let's stipulate most know what happened, but if not I will link my thoughts here and one can link to some background.
Needless to say, the left sees this as a moment to bring back the so-called assault-weapons ban that was hailed as a major legislative victory in the 1990s.
And of course there are some on the left that sees this as a moment to extend that so far as actual gun confiscation as this Iowa legislator would like to see happen.
So enter CNN low-rated talk show host Piers O'Meara Morgan.
In a recent interview, Mr. O'Meara Morgan had as a guest Alex Jones. Alex Jones, in a word, is N U T S! Besides being a 9/11 truther he is also a birther and all around conspiracy nut. And his website, which I choose not to link, is called Prison Planet. In case you missed that rather heated exchange, here it is:

OK, I think that you get I am not a big fan of Mr. Jones and this rant is one reason. He plays right into the hands of gun control advocates like Mr. Morgan. It is is embarrassing to say the least.
Enter conservative wunderkid Ben Shapiro.
BTW, you really should buy his new book, Bullies: How the Left's Culture of Fear and Intimidation Silences Americans for it is a primer on such bullies as, well Mr. O'Meara Morgan.
Now, if you want to see how to handle such douchbrains as Mr. O'Meara Morgan, then take a look at this from last night:

First, let me give Mr. Shapiro props for wearing a yarmulke for he is letting you know that he is an observant Jew and an Orthodox Jew at that.
But it is how he shows Mr. O'Meara Morgan what it is liked to be bullied and he does it with a smile. Or a smirk as Mr. O'Meara Morgan tells him.
But watch, watch how uncomfortable ol' Piers is when Mr. Shapiro turns the table on him when he asks why does the left only seem to want to ban so-called assault weapons? Why not handguns? Then here is the zinger:

SHAPIRO: This is what I wanted to ask you, Piers, because I have seen you talk about assault weapons a lot, and I have seen Mark Kelly talk about assault weapons. The vast majority of murders in this country that are committed with guns are committed with handguns, they are not committed assault weapons. Are you willing to ban handguns in this country, across this country?
MORGAN: No, that’s not what I’m asking for.
SHAPIRO: Why not? Don’t you care about the kids who are being killed in Chicago as much as the kids in Sandy Hook?

Ouch! And do watch the video link to see how pompously Mr. O'Meara Morgan mocks indignation while quickly trying to dismiss Mr. Shapiro's point.
Oh yeah, and Mr. O'Meara Morgan accuses Mr. Shapiro of being the bully. And once again, Mr. Shapiro takes a page right out of the Saul Alinsky handbook and cites the most famous acolyte of Mr. Alinsky, why our Dear Leader, President Obama, of course. Mr. Shapiro says yes and hit back twice as hard. And he does.
Oh yeah, a trick that Mr. O'Meara Morgan uses is to cite Ronald Reagan and the fact that he supported the so-called assault weapons ban in 1994. And Mr. Shapiro says "So?!" Again, faux indignation from Mr. O'Meara Morgan and he asks Mr. Shapiro if he liked Mr. Reagan and he says yes, but that he would not always agree with Mr. Reagan.
Uh, memo to Mr. O'Meara Morgan, but Mr. Shaprio was born in 1984. So I don't think that he can be one to ask about the Reagan era as if he lived through it. And Mr. Shapiro answered such a trap question correctly. And another memo to Mr. O'Meara Morgan. I did not always agree with Mr. Reagan and I lived through the era.
See, the fact is that people like Mr. O'Meara mistake Republican for being conservative. Many conservatives such as myself are Republicans. But I have written many times on this blog that one of the worst, no check that two, of my most regrettable votes were for Benedict Arnold Schwarzenegger as governor of California. By the time that charlatan left office, I would have opened the door and slammed it on his rear end to get out.
But what Mr. Shaprio did in 15 minutes is show how conservatives, whether they are politicians, private citizens, artists, whatever, how to take on people like Mr. O'Meara Morgan. Have the facts to back up the argument. Don't ever let them get the upper hand, evah. Never lose your cool. Give them a little point but make sure to be able to make the larger point. And most important. Have a smile on your face. Or a smirk.
This is required watching for conservatives, conservative activists and Republicans for if you want to beat the left at their little bullying game, especially in regards to the 2nd amendment, you need to be like Ben Shapiro.
