More Thoughts On Why Just Say NO To The Rev. Mike

As this day has worn on and the thought of our Republican presumptive presidential nominee, Sen. John "F--- You" McCain possibly seriously entertaining asking the dreadful Rev. Mike Huckabee to be his vice-presidential candidate, more thoughts as to why the Arizona Solon should just say NO come to mind.
Most of the problems I have are on the Rev. Mike's version of Christianity.
Here is one for you, and it is the latest.
According to the latest Robert Novak column http://www.suntimes.com/news/novak/943991,CST-EDT-novak12.article, it appears that some of the Rev's. fervent supporters would rather see the presumptive Democrat presidential nominee, Sen. Barack, win the election because that is what America would deserve. And that the United States would turn to the Rev. Mike in 2012. Of course, that would mean Republicans would want to vote for a real Rev. Mike candidacy. And, the Novak article contends that the Rev. Mike may very well be sucking up to Sen. "F--- You" McCain now, while working with these fringe Christians to insure defeat to Sen. Barack in November.
That is disturbing, but not surprising since this is the same man, who with a smile on his face, asked a New York Times reporter whether it was true that according to Mormon doctrine, Jesus Christ and Satan were brothers. A little smear of his rival, former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney.
But, little reported, was the Rev. Mike defending the indefensible, the "Rev." Jeremiah Wright, the former pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. You know, the church that Sen. Barack attended for 2o years and did not know how radical the "Rev." Wright was.
The Rev. Mike said that the "Rev." Wright had a lot of pain because he was a product of the racist South and that the rest of the United States does not know what life was like when the "Rev." Wright was growing up.
PLEASE!
Of course, later the Rev. Mike downplayed that, albeit, wimpy defense of the "Rev." Wright, but it was a defense. From another supposed conservative pastor.
And of course, who can forget the floating cross Christmas television advertisement. That led to a flurry of similar ads. But, the McCain campaign Christmas television ad was the most effective because it was personal, relating to Sen. "F--- You" McCain's time as a POW in North Vietnam as a "guest" at the "Hanoi Hilton."
No, this would mean that Sen. "F--- You" McCain does not want to seriously win the presidency.
Choosing someone like the "Rev." Mike is like asking for the Sen. Barack campaign to spend endless time defining him through the prism of the vice-presidential candidate. It would make potential voters think twice. Do they want someone who has the overall attributes of someone like the Rev. Mike? Does he not turn off more voters, nationwide, than attract? Is the South in that much danger of being ripe for Sen. Barack to pick off? And, if not, where does the Rev. Mike add anything outside the solid South?
I think that this is a trial balloon and that Republicans will say, no way Sen. Juan! We want to win in November and we want this McCain-? ticket to be on offense all the way. The Rev. Mike will be defense to defeat in November.

This Is NOT Good News

According to Real Clear Politics blog http://realclearpolitics.com, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, Sen. John "F--- You" McCain has the former Arkansas governor, the Rev. Mike Huckabee, on the top of his list for potential vice-presidential nominees.
This is not good news.
The Rev. Mike ran an abysmal campaign, basically made a fool of himself, and made his infamous Christmas television ad.
The Rev. Mike has no clue on domestic policy since he truly does advocate big, federal government and the so-called "fair tax".
The Rev. Mike is worse on foreign policy as he is not too far from the Obama position about "talking" with our enemies.
I hope that this is just a trial balloon put out there. If this is real, I think he is handing the presidency over to Sen. Barack.
Why?
Because the Rev. Mike has no base outside of the South. Even there, while he did finish first in several primaries, Sen. "F--- You" McCain was hot on his heels. By the infamous Super Duper Tuesday, it became appearant that Sen. "F--- You" McCain would be the GOP standard bearer, someone forgot to tell the Rev. Mike. He went on, in a foolish and childish way, until Sen.
"F--- You" McCain went over the top in delagates.
What Sen. "F--- You" McCain needs is someone that is not a loose cannon. He does that well all alone. The Rev. Mike just seemed way out of his league when pressed during debates on specific issues.
I am trying to be objective since I am a Romney supporter, but really, what does the Rev. Mike add to the ticket?
NOTHING!
Not even Iowa, a fluke that doomed the Romney candidacy.
No, Sen. "F--- You" McCain should not even seriously promote the possibiltiy of a Rev. Mike vice-presidency.
While I favor Mitt Romney, I would be more inclined to see former Sen. Fred Thompson over the Rev. Mike. Mr. Thompson is a real conservative, like Mr. Romney, and has substance. I can not believe that the Rev. Mike was elected twice as governor of Arkansas, but they did let loose the Clintons on us.
No, go back to the drawing board Sen. "F--- You" McCain and look at someone who can help your candidacy. Not a clown looking to make a buck.

And, Lebanon On The Road To Renewed Civil War

It appears that Lebanon, as noted before the weekend, is now nearing a complete collapse and an new civil war. And, with the help of the client terror thugs Hezbollah, Syria will use it as a pretext to re-enter the tragic land and impose its rule as it did throughout much of the '90s.
It is an awful event to watch because of the inaction of the West, led by the United States, a situation will occur that will give Islamic terrorists a tangible victory and the certain takeover of Lebanon by radical elements.
Do not be fooled. Even though there are many Sunni Muslims, a still large Christian community, a small Druze community, they do not have the organizational skills and termidity of Hezbollah.
The West, led by the United States, needs to take serious action to prevent this situation from spinning out of control. The fate of Israel's survival, and that of the West may very well depend on what action we take now.

It appears that one Bernie Ward, former Roman Catholic priest and now former left-wing radio talk show host can add another notch on the ol' resume. Convicted of federal child pornography charges.Mr. Ward cut a deal with the federal prosucutor and may serve as much as five years in a federal prison.The irony is that Mr. Ward, the former Roman Catholic priest, used his talk show on KGO 810 to bash the Roman Catholic church and its handling of the child sex abuse scandal. It appears that Mr. Ward, judging from this, may have attained first-hand knowledge of what he spoke.It is not a good thing what has happened to the Roman Catholic church on this scandal. Sure, church opponents will argue that this would not have happened if the hierarchy would just let priests marry in the first place. That is not my point. It had been the way that the church handled it in the first place. It did not address the reality that they were letting almost anyone with a pulse into the priesthood and moving the bad apples around. On so many issues, though I am a Protestant and more or less evangelical (I can not explain how I ended up a member of the Episcopal Church except that Almighty God has a sense of humor!), I find myself attracted to the Roman church teaching on many matters that affect our world today. For that moral compass, this scandal and the handling, or lack therof, of it is why so many are saddened by what has happened. But, Almighty God may have got one right sending hypocrite and child pornographer Bernie Ward to federal prison. There, he will find that his kind are not even welcomed.

Back To A Tragic Future

It appears that while nobody is really paying attention, civil war may be erupting once again in Lebanon as Hezbollah thugs, most certainly backed by their patrons in Iran and nearby Syria, are seizing West Beirut in a serious attempt to overthrow the pro-West government.
I have the whole link from CNN because it is very important to have some idea about what is at stake.
What is very worrisome is that there is such a timid response not just from our so-called allies but from our own State Department.
What is needed is a no, uncertain total support for the government and a unified response that a Hezbollah take over of Lebanon, which will put much of the nation in danger, will not be tolerated.

BEIRUT, Lebanon (CNN) -- Hezbollah militias took control of western Beirut on Friday, dealing a major blow to the U.S.-backed government in Lebanon.
Future TV, with a poster of slain leader Rafik Hariri, whose family owns the station, burns Friday in Beirut, Lebanon.
Walid Jumblatt, a Druze leader and part of the March 14 pro-government coalition, described it as a "coup."
Jumblatt's coalition called the takeover an effort to "bring Syria back to Lebanon" and extend Iran's reach to the Mediterranean.
U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice accused Hezbollah leaders of trying to "protect their state within a state."
Hezbollah leaders did not make public statements Friday.
Two pro-government TV stations were shut down -- and the building of one, Future TV, was soon on fire. Watch the TV station burn »
Nadim Mounla, the head of Future TV, said Hezbollah had sent a "clear message" that it would destroy the stations.
The building housing offices of a newspaper was set on fire as well. It and the two TV stations are owned by the prominent Hariri family, leading supporters of the government.
Hezbollah "turned their weapons ... toward the hearts of the innocent civilians of Beirut," said Samir Geagea, executive director of the Lebanese forces, reading a statement after a meeting of the pro-government March 14 coalition.
"They invaded their neighborhoods and shelled their homes with a hail of bombs that were sent from Tehran through the Damascus gateway," he said.
"The purpose behind this coup is to bring Syria back to Lebanon and allow Iran to reach the Mediterranean," he said.
Syria and Iran support Hezbollah, and Syrian troops occupied Lebanon from 1990 until 2006.

State-run news agency IRNA, citing Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini, added that "Iran's stand on Lebanon has always been based on non-interference in a matter that is entirely related to the Lebanese nation, alone."
And Syria's state-run news agency SANA said President Bashar al-Assad discussed Lebanon during a meeting with Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani.

"The two sides hoped that the brothers in Lebanon would be able to find a solution to this situation through dialogue among themselves in a way that preserves the security and stability of Lebanon," al-Assad said.
The country's elected, pro-Western government has long been locked in a power struggle with Hezbollah, which fought a 34-day war with Israel in 2006.
Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah called that conflict "a strategic and historic victory" but acknowledged underestimating the cost in lives and destruction.
In public statements and demonstrations in recent years, the Shiite militant group backed by Iran and Syria threatened to use its power and popularity to oust the Sunni-led government, triggering fears of a new civil war that could further destabilize the volatile region.
Lebanon was crippled by a 15-year civil war that ended in 1990.
Government troops and another militia group, Fatah al-Islam, fought a series of bloody battles last year over control of Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon. More than 150 people were reported killed in those clashes.
In a written statement, the U.S. secretary of state said the United States is "deeply concerned" about the violence.
"Backed by Syria and Iran, Hezbollah and its allies are killing and injuring fellow citizens, undermining the legitimate authority of the Lebanese government and the institutions of the Lebanese state," Rice wrote.
"Seeking to protect their state within a state, Hezbollah has exploited its allies and demonstrated its contempt for its fellow Lebanese. No one has the right to deprive Lebanese citizens of their political and economic freedom, their right to move freely within their country or their sense of safety and security."
The White House said Rice is reaching out to the Lebanese government. State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said she also discussed Lebanon with officials from Saudi Arabia, France and the United Nations.
National Security Council spokesman Gordon Johndroe said, "We are very troubled by the recent actions of Hezbollah. We urge Hezbollah to stop their attempt to defy the lawful decisions taken by the democratically elected Lebanese government."
The Lebanese army did not join the battles that erupted this week. Taking sides could throw the military -- with its own political factions -- into disarray.

Jumblatt said the government is "now at the end of a gun barrel" and expects the "conditions for surrender will be offered sooner or later."
"I think ... it's a coup," he said. "The Lebanese army is in total paralysis."
With pro-government gunmen out of the way, fighting in the capital eased a bit Friday after two days of intense gunbattles echoing through Beirut's streets.
At least 11 people have been killed and 44 wounded in the clashes since Wednesday, according to Lebanese Internal Security Forces.
Earlier this week, the government demanded Hezbollah shutter its telecommunications operations, which Hezbollah called an act of war. The government also fired the chief of security at the Beirut airport amid a probe of allegations that Hezbollah had installed cameras and other monitoring equipment there to spy on political opponents.
Saad Hariri, the leader of the government's bloc in parliament, is the son of the late former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, whose 2005 assassination sparked protests that brought the current government to power and led to the withdrawal of Syrian troops. Watch Hariri supporters protest »
Since then, dynamics in Lebanon have been reshaped by the war between Hezbollah and Israel, and by the ongoing power struggle between Hezbollah and the government.

Fossella Must Go

As if the Republicans did not have enough troubles in the upcoming elections, news of the lone conservative, Republican congressman from New York City, Vito Fossella, being arrested for DUI, or DWI, and the revelation of not just having an affair but a daughter as the result of said affair is making retaking the House of Representatives an even more herculean task http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/10/nyregion/10fossella.html?ex=1368158400&en=af8147969a0e3968&ei=5124&partner=permalink&exprod=permalink.
Mr. Fossella is just following the disturbing pattern of many a congressman that set in motion the Democrat takeover of the House in 2006.
The list is sad and disturbing.
Lets start with Don Sherwood. He was a congressman from Pennsylvania. Not only was he a womanizer, but he liked to choke his mistress. Needless to say, he is no longer a congressman.
And lets stay in Pennsylvania.
Now former congressman Curt Weldon was accused of taking bribes. Now, he is gone.
Down in Florida, there is the child, gay pervert and, guess what? Yes, former congressman Mark Foley. He liked to IM young boys who were congressional pages wanting to know very disturbing things that said boys were doing, even encouraging them to have phone sex. And, Mr. Foley was on a committee that was investigating child predators. Must have been some research!
Then there was former Republican House Majority Leader, Tom DeLay. Now, in his defense, the Texas prosucutor was going after him for purely political reasons. But, the pressure was too much and he resigned congress. And, his seat was lost. Of course, Mr. DeLay is not being prosucted at this point and the case looks like it is not going to trial anytime soon.
Ahh, but here in California, like everything else, the case of excess and humiliation is the case of former Vietnam war naval pilot and hero Randy "Duke" Cunningham. He took so much in bribe money from defense contractors that he is actually sitting in a prison cell as you read this post.
And, let us not forget the king of the perverts, Sen. Larry "Happy Feet" Craig and his trolling for gay sex in a toilet at the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport.
On this case of seemingly endless Republican congressional malfeasence, our presumptive presidential candidate, Sen. John "F--- You" McCain is beyond correct. The House, and the Senate need a cleaning. It is the corruption and the losing of the Republican way that lost the congressional majorities.
And now, Vito from Staten Island not only may be a drunk, but a womanizer and father of an illegitamate daughter. What a trifecta!

It is time to return to principles and to find good and decent people to remember those principles when they are elected to any office they run for.
Republicans should not be running to just change the names and play the same games as the Democrats. It is expected that the Democrats are going to be corrupt. Republicans began and are best as a reform party.
Time for Sen. McCain and the Republicans to remember what had made them the majority party. It is not choking, drunken, womanizing, bribe-takers. It is men and women who have a vision for the United States that is a reforming vision.

Those Racist Dems

Overlooked in the Death match to the Democrat presidential nomination is the fact that both Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are now out of the closet. . .as racists!
Oh, to Sen. Barack's credit, he is of the closet variety. Only rolling up roughly 90% of the black vote in North Carolina this past Tuesday. This from the candidate that was to transcend race and partisanship. No, Sen. Barack is just another politician who knows that if there is no 90% of the black vote in states like North Carolina and to a lesser extent Indiana, the Grand Dragon herself, Sen. Clinton becomes the Democrat nominee.
Why is Sen. Clinton the Grand Dragon?
Because the desperate New York senator went so far as to say, I kid you not, that she gets the majority of white, working class voters. And, regrettably, that is true.
If this were going on in the Republican party at this point, the Dinosaur, Drive-By, Mainstream Media would be all over this like bees to honey.
But, it is the Democrats and we all know that they never, never play the race card.
Only if it will help whoever uses it.
I think that Grand Dragon, er Sen. Clinton is showing desperation by bringing up the obvious. The fact was also delivered by no less a Clinton supporter than the governor of Pennsylvania, Ed Rendell.
We all remember Fast Eddie ranting about the conservative whites who would not vote for a black candidate.
Speaking of said black candidate, Sen. Obama started as I noted as the post-racial, post-partisan uniter. But the voting trends say otherwise. He is racking up very impressive numbers among blacks and North Carolina being possibly the watershed of the black vote.
There is one race group up for grabs and that is the Hispanic vote.
Hispanics have more or less supported Sen. Clinton. But, there is a divide on that as the older, working class Hispanics have supported Grand Dragon Hillary. Younger, college educated Hispanics are beginning to break for Sen. Barack.
Well, I believe that when all is said and done, Sen. Barack is the Democrat nominee. But there are going to be some hard feelings that eight years of George W. Bush are not going to heal enough to unify the Democrats. And, there is an opportunity for Sen. John "F--- You" McCain to gain some of the leftover Democrats voters who will not support Sen. Barack.
Sen. "F--- You" McCain can get the older, military-serving, Hispanic male vote on a silver platter. These are people who served and would not be comfortable with a Sen. Barack as the commander-in-chief. A natural Sen. "F--- You" McCain constituency.
And, there is the aforementioned disillusioned white voters that will not support Sen. Barack. These are what is left of the Reagan Democrats. Here, Sen. "F--- You" McCain does not have to play up their fears. Sen. Barack and the pit bull, aka Michelle Obama, are doing that quite well, thank you. Sen. "F--- You" McCain needs to remind these voters of the promise of the America that one Ronald Wilson Reagan spoke and believed in. In other words, Sen "F--- You" McCain has to drop the senator armor and speak from the heart about America. About the goodness of America. About what the American dream means not just to Americans but to the world.
What this Death match among Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama has exposed is the racial rift that had been under wraps within the Democrat party. Now it has exploded and there is no way it gets put back in time for November.

Here Comes The PETA Police

Saturday's Kentucky Derby was amazing for two reasons. It was the amazing win for Big Brown and the tragic end for Eight Belles.
Eight Belles was the only fillie in the race and while she came on strong at the end, she may have came on too strong and once she crossed the finish line, she collapsed and broke both of her front ankles. And, because the injuries were so severe Eight Belles was euthanized.
Now, the folks at PETA, People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals, or the animal insane ones, are using the tragedy to assault horse racing as they are going to protest at the upcoming Preakness Stakes at Pimlico in Maryland in one week"http://www.nypost.com/seven/05062008/sports/peta_puts_sport_to_the_test_109652.htm">PETA.
Horse racing is no different from other sports in which there is always a real risk of injury and yes, even death.
It was a tragedy what happened to Eight Belles but it should be noted that the Thoroughbred horse racing has improved the treatment of the horses that race.
After all, it is an investment and why would the investor(s) want to have a horse race that would be injured and eventually euthanized?
The problem with PETA is that it is an extremist animal "rights" group rather than a group that wants to prevent real cruelty to animals. PETA equates animals with humans. In fact, many PETA fanatics would put animals ahead of humans. That is why whenever they stick their tiresome noses into so-called animal "rights" issues, it should be instantly discredited because they are so extreme.
Horse racing is very regulated and not anywhere cruel as Greyhound dog racing. There are few regulations and it is know to be very abusive to the greyhound. There is a reason why there are greyhound rescue groups.
So, while the demise of Eight Belles is a tragedy, do not take the PETA protests seriously. The ASPCA would be the kind of group to take seriously for they are a serious group.
And, go Big Brown!

Another Reason For Hillary To Stay

While many pundits and Democrat activists seem to want the race to end, Jim Geraghty has this reason why St. Hillary can stay in and should stay in the race.
Kennedy Went to the 1980 Convention Trailing By 756 Delegates
Fun Foreshadowing Fact of the Day: In 1980, Ted Kennedy came into the Democratic convention at Madison Square Garden in New York City with 1,225 delegates to President Carter's 1,981 and 122 uncommitted.
If Kennedy could take it to the convention when he trailed by 756 delegates, Hillary can go to the convention trailing by her current 150 or so.

Since Sen. Barack does not have as overwhelming a lead that then President Carter did in 1980, he needs to deliver a knockout punch in the eight remaining contests. And if he does not, and St. Hillary scores some more victories, very possible with the states coming up, St. Hillary can always go to Denver with the Florida and Michigan trump cards. And I think that is the reason that she will stay in the race.
And, credit Rush Limbaugh to continuing the Operation Chaos in Indiana yesterday. The reality is that Sen. Barack should have won Indiana because it is right next door to his home state of Illinois.
St. Hillary lives to fight another primary round and look for her to go all the way. She has nothing to lose.

Here Comes The Left Trying To Being "Moral Equivalincy" Between The "Rev." Wright And Conservative Chirstians

Here we go!
Now, the DDBMSMers are desperately trying their level best to make the rantings of America's favorite crazy uncle, the "Rev." Jeremiah Wright nothing more than some of the more rantings of some conservative Christian pastors.
I commented on Frank Rich beginning the march by trying to write that an endorsement by Pastor John Hagee for GOP presumptive nominee, Sen. John "F--- You" McCain is the same as having crazy uncle "Rev." Wright as Sen. Barack's spiritual guide.
Today, Dennis Prager http://pragerradio.com gave us the apologetics of one Roland Martin, a CNN contributor and another Christian minister.http://rss.townhall.com/trackback/dennisprager/50da2685-4a45-40a7-af3e-12a27390a603/
This Martin fellow went on to bring up the usual suspects in the Christian left's fevered-swamp minds. You, know, the late Rev. Jerry Falwell, the Rev. Pat Robertson, now Pastor Hagee. The only one that Rev. Martin did not throw in is the reprobate Pastor Fred Phelps. Ah, I am sure that is coming.
It is as if in the 2000 election, Sen. John McCain did not get into trouble for condemning the likes of Falwell and Robertson. It is why he lost the GOP nomination.
How about the DDBMSM going insane for then candidate Gov. George W. Bush speaking at Bob Jones University. You know, ol Roman Catholic hating Bob Jones. It was and is a delicious moment when the DDBMSM suddenly defends the one group that it hates more than conservative Christians-traditional Roman Catholics.
Bottom line is this. What the "Rev." Wright "preaches" is a totally different type of Christianity. Black liberation Christian theology. It is not that it is unique to the "Rev." Wright. Apparently there are many a black preacher that believes what the "Rev." Wright believes. Except, they do not seem to have the eloquence of the retired "Reverend".
No one, but no one who has a sliver of an objective mind can compare and stray down the racist road. After all, it is the "Rev." Wright that has preached racism. And, the comparisons to others is irrelevant. Because the man that has a good shot of being elected president of the United States, Sen. Barack, sat in Trinity United Church of Christ for 20 years. And no one with the same sliver of an objective mind can say that none of what the erstwhile pastor "preached" did not have an effect on Sen. Barack. And that is the issue. And, it is not going away anytime soon and it should not.

Hilary Stays In No Matter What

Yea, Yea, so St. Hillary did not win in North Carolina. And Indiana is still too close to call, but look for her to pull it out. And, even if St. Hillary does not, she will not get out of the race.
Why should she get out? Why should she make the rest of the way easier for Sen. Barack? And, if she is a real Clinton, there is still time for Sen. Barack to have another "Rev." Jeremiah Wright type fiasco. And, she will be there to remind Democrat voters that they still have a choice in the eight primaries left. And, most important, the Democrats are still divided.
The upcoming states, states such as Kentucky and West Virginia are tailor made states for St. Hillary. They should be wins for her. And she gets more delegates. And, that is going to be the name of the game.
The really bad thing for the Democrats and the lucky thing for the Republican candidate, Sen. John "F--- You" McCain is that they are so divided. Even if tomorrow, St. Hillary were to leave the race, she would give Sen. McCain a lot of Democrats. The percentage of her voters going to Sen. McCain hovers around 20%. There is no doubt that would hand the election to Sen. McCain. And about 15% of the Sen. Barack voters would defect to Sen. McCain if somehow St. Hillary steals this Democrat nomination. More than likely, also giving the election to Sen. McCain.
Those are very high percentages for the Democrats to bear. While we Republicans are not overly enthusiastic about Sen. "F--- You" McCain, we see that neither Sen. Barack or St. Hillary can have the keys to the White House. And, some Democrats feel the same way.
And, this still will come down to the Democrat convention in August. And, unless the Democrats can break their own rules concerning seating the Florida and Michigan convention delegates, well it is going to be a saga and a lot of fun-for Republicans!
You know, we Republicans were supposed to have this kind of race. All this divisiveness and all the back and forth are happening to the Democrats. And there is some justice to this election season after all!

The head of the United Church of Canada, the Reverend David Giuliano, feels "it is not his job to condemn":
Even Rev. Giuliano agrees that the name Christian — which carries the baggage of colonialism and other ills — should probably be phased out. Instead, he would replace "Christian" with "Follower of the Way" or "Follower of Jesus."

Once again, the modernist "Christian" admits to, well not believing anything about what it is to being a "Christian".
It is really nauseating that the United Church of Canada has no backbone. Not that the Episcopal bishop of Seattle showed any backbone with his "Islamic" priestess. But, at least the Episcopal bishop did not go as far as the "Rev." Guiliano.
The central question is why does Miss Vosper even maintain that she is a minister at all? Why does she just turn her church into a Sunday morning meeting place, you know to have some coffee, read the Sunday newspaper, talk about the issues of the day. Oops! I may be giving Miss Vosper some ideas.

Can We Agree That Pastor Hagee's Endorsement Is Not The Same As Pastor Wright Being One's Pastor For 20 Years?

Once again, a lefty "journalist" is trying to their might compare the reprehensible "Rev." Jeremiah Wright with Texas Pastor John Hagee in a futile attempt to make a moral equivalence with Sen. Barack's pastor and a supporter of Sen. John "F--- You" McCain http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/04/opinion/04rich.html?ex=1367553600&en=e3a461b394f453f6.
Ever swift Frank Rich is going down the road, referring to Pastor Hagee as Sen. "F--- You" McCain's pastor. Also, according to Mr. Rich, it all boils down to the fact that Sen. McCain was not a parishioner in Pastor Hagee's church for 20 years while Sen. Barack was in the "Rev." Wright's church.
HELLO?!
That is the whole reason Sen. Barack is in the hot water he is in.
Sen. "F--- You" McCain can dismiss the more extreme views of Pastor Hagee and be correct to point out that he is not a parishioner. After all, Sen. "F--- You" McCain is the senior senator from Arizona, not Texas. There is no reason for him to be a member of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas.
And, amazingly, Mr. Rich is going down the worn race road in citing the DDBMSM all but covering up the Pastor Hagee endorsement of Sen. "F--- You" McCain.
Let us try the short version of this.
Sen. Barack knowingly and willfully became a member of Trinity United Church of Christ. He had to have been in the church when the "Rev." Wright made some of his wildest sermons. And, we should also all agree that what has been put out there is just some of the "Revs'" greatest hits. As I noted in an earlier post this week, there is no doubt in my mind that Sen. Barack had to be in the church during September 16, 2001 for the now infamous "Chickens coming home to roost" sermon.
There is no evidence that Sen. "F--- You" McCain has even attended a service at Pastor Hagee's church. So, while Sen. "F--- You" McCain may have accepted Pastor Hagee's endorsement, he can safely state that he did not know about the pastor's controversial sermons. Most of what grates the DDBMSM is the "anti-Catholic" sermons.
What it comes down to is judgement. Sen. Barack is the one that has made his own judgement to be a legitimate issue. And, if he has the judgement to attend such a church for 20 years and then when people do a little looking into the rantings of the head pastor and throw him under the bus when the going gets tough, then it is safe to say that Sen. Barack has shown some very lousy judgement.
A clue to the lefties like Frank Rich.
Stop it already. There is no moral equivalence.
While Pastor Hagee has some controversial positions, he has not preached "anti-Catholic" sermons. He does not hate Roman Catholics. He has some disagreements with the hierarchy of the Roman Catholic church. And, so do lefties like Mr. Rich.
The "Rev." Wright bases his whole church on a "black liberation" "Christian" theology. It is a theology of hate. It is something that is not as fringe as people like Mr. Rich think.
It is time for us to agree to stop this trying to tie a supporter, Pastor Hagee, with a spiritual guide, the "Rev." Wright. And, despite the attempts by lefties like Mr. Rich, this is not going away any time soon.

The Number One United States Political Pundit Will Drive The Nutroots Crazy!

Well, it is out and according to the London Daily Telegraph, the number one most influential political pundit in the United States is http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/uselection2008/1904702/The-50-most-influential-US-political-pundits.html. . .Karl Rove!
Of course the nutroots, led by the Kosacks at the Daily Kos and the Huff and Puff Post are getting their conspiracy theories out there.
I think that Rush Limbaugh is number one, and the reason is Operation Chaos. The effort that he has led to have Republicans register in key states to become temporary Democrats, vote for Sen. Hillary Clinton, and return to the Republican fold in November. All in the name of creating the divide that engulfs the Democrats now, and quite possibly to the Democrat National Convention in Denver in August.
I think the main reason is that Mr. Rove has just ended his very successful political shepherding of George W. Bush and that some, especially on the other side of the pond, feel his words, more than maybe the actions of Mr. Limbaugh, carry more weight with American voters, and even non-voters.
A surprise is the pseudo-conservative New York Times columnist, David Brooks, in the top 10 at number nine.
Really regrettable is that Comedy Central's John Stewart takes the eighth spot.
Also, surprising he is not higher than sixth is Matt Drudge www.drudgereport.com for I think that he is having an influence similar to Mr. Limbaugh's. And, Mr. Drudge really is not what I would call a pundit. But, that is debatable.
The fun thing about these series in The Telegraph is the seeing how the British view us, Americans, and what makes us tick.
But, accuracy, well. . .

I do not know why I am still amazed at the reaction from the Sen. Barack defenders over the "Rev." Jeremiah Wright. I mean, since we are such an eeeevvvviiiillll, racist, hate filled nation, then why does the good "Reverend" get as his reward this palatial manor? I guess that it is OK to be the hate-monger for Christ. Like that other hate filled "Rev." Fred Phelps, this man just keeps on going. At least he will be hatin' in style!

Those Classy Democrats!

Anyone who has read this blog knows that Sen. John "F--- You" McCain was not exactly my first choice for the Republican nomination for president. But, he is our presumptive nominee and I will vote for him because I do not think the United States can have four years of Sen. Barack.
That being said, this is a disgusting thing for anyone to ask any serious, and even not so serious presidential candidate Trackback URL.
Now, I write Sen. "F--- You" McCain because of his very public insulting of Texas Republican Senator John Cornyn because he dared to ask Sen. McCain any questions about the ill-fated "comprehensive immigration reform" bill-scam. I will not replay the story. It is out there and no one denies that was said.
But, for a Baptist minister not only to ask such a disgusting question and use the most vulgar word for the vagina that I know of shows the level of discourse our friends on the left will stoop to.
Note, same lefties claim that all the "Rev." Wright discourse is taking away from discussing the "real", i.e., Democrat, issues. Yet, this ignoramus asks whether or not Sen. McCain called his wife, Cindy, a c---. Now, that is a real issue.
And, I give credit that Sen. McCain did not go into the audience at the town hall and smack this fool.
I really, truly dread the next six months.

The Telegraph Offers A New Top 50

This week, the London Daily Telegraph has a new top of list and this time it is the 50 most influential political pundits is the United States http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/uselection2008/1904702/The-50-most-influential-US-political-pundits.html.
As of this posting, we do not yet have the top 10 pundits, but rest assured as I noted the last list of note, the 100 most influential United States conservatives, there was a lot on that list to be desired.
This one seems to be, on the whole, more balanced than the top 100 conservatives. However, to put loudmouth blowhards like HBO's Bill Maher, 15 and the most horrible commentator in the world, Keith Olbermann, 13, is rather sad. These two combined have the intellectual ability to make coherent commentary the way the "Rev." Jeremiah Wright has about United States history.
I will note more on this when the top 10 comes out, either sometime this evening or tomorrow. It will be very interesting.

The Disengenuous Sen. Barack

Since I am now back in the real world, I must admit that the latest in the "Rev." Wright saga is almost a yawn. But, leave it to Sen. Barack to disingenuously try to weasel his way out of the fact that he was a member of the infamous Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.
Yesterday, suddenly, Sen. Barack realized that while his "former" pastor, the repulsive "Rev." Jeremiah Wright was a Japanese bullet train derailing the campaign of hope.
Thus, Sen. Barack went out and "denounced" the "remarks" of the "former" pastor.
You see, since Sen. Barack tried the bob and weave in the infamous Philadelphia speech on race that was short on substance, the "Reverend" was looking for the right time and place.
So, this past weekend he went on the Jeremiah Wright barnstorming tour, starting in Dallas, a pit stop for an NAACP dinner in Detroit and the piece de resistance, his appearance before the National Press Club in Washington, D. C. on Monday.
I think that "Rev." Wright's appearance at the National Press Club is the highlight of this lowlife's tour de force.
Here, the "Rev." Wright tried to boost his Marine Corp service by taunting Vice-President Dick Cheney, who did not serve in the armed forces. Big deal. A lot of people have served in the armed forces, but some are like the "Rev." Wright, who learned not a thing about that service and thinks it inoculates him when he goes on irrational tirades. Such as his theory about the United States government inventing the AIDS virus to wipe out minority groups.
Now, this has been bandied about, usually by the same people who believe that the terrorist attacks of 9/11 were staged by the government. They are called truthers. And, one can suppose that the "Rev." Wright is doing a little truth-telling in his government-started-AIDS theory.
The fact remains that, as I have implored on so many occasions, take a peek at the Trinity website http://tucc.org. It is there that one will find the underpinnings of the beliefs of the "Rev." Wright and, despite his denials, the beliefs of one Barack Obama.
Now, Sen. Barack tries once again to say that this is not the same man that he met 20 years ago. This is not the same man who baptized Sen. Barack into the Christian faith. This is not the same man that married Michelle to Barack. This is not the same man who baptized the Obama daughters into the Christian faith. So, he became a whack job preacher overnight? Of course not and both the "Rev." Wright and Sen. Barack know that.
At least the wacko "Rev." Wright is speaking some truth.
I am sorry, as a practicing Christian, I do not believe for one moment that Sen. Barack was not in church on Sunday, September 16, 2001 right after the terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington, D. C. Mrs. rightviewfromtheleftcoast and I were at church praying, crying and seeking help from Almighty God the night of 9/11. And we were in church on that Sunday. As Dennis Prager http://dennispragerradio.com noted on today's broadcast, everyone can remember that week and whether or not they were in church on that fateful Sunday. And, I am certain that Sen. Barack and family have been at Trinity on most if not all occasions that the "Rev." Wright spoke "truth to power."
And, what about that huge donation that the Obama family gave to Trinity recently of over $25,000. Was that possibly "hush" money? No one really knows.
While this will not go away anytime soon, it is too late for the Democrat party to have buyer's remorse of this disingenuous Sen. Barack and his baggage, AKA, Jeremiah Wright. Sen. Barack is the Democrat nominee for president. He will probably win North Carolina. He will not win Indiana. When the Democrat National Convention rolls into Denver in the heat of August, unless Sen. Hillary Clinton can rob Sen. Barack, he will walk out of Denver the Democrat standard bearer.
And, Sen. Barack will have the Wright albatross around his neck. At that point it may well be the anaconda and it will continue to squeeze the erstwhile "uniter". And, how many more times will Sen. Barack lie about his knowledge, or lack thereof, of the rantings of the "Rev." Jeremiah Wright?

Back After A Respite

I am back after a well deserved weekend off celebrating the eighth wedding anniversary of Mrs. rightviewfromtheleftcoast and I.
We went to contribute to the Indian casino craze here in California by spending a couple of days at the Pala Indian Casino Resort And Spa http://palacasino.com.
This is a place where there is something for everyone. I contributed a bit o' cash to the Indians via slot machines, and made a little too. Mrs. rightviewfromtheleftcoast went to the spa and we read and went to Sea World on Monday. A great, restful weekend. And, it does not seem like eight years at all that we have been man and wife.
Anyhow, now back to the real world.

With Our Friend John, He Makes Us Wish For Another GOP Candida

As usual, our Republican presumptive candidate, Sen. John "F--- You" McCain steps into it regarding the "Rev" Jeremiah Wright controversy by, you guessed it, slamming the North Carolina Republican party for broadcasting a television spot questioning Sen. Barack and his friends, including the aforementioned "Rev.:" Wright.
It appears that Sen. "F--- You" McCain did not even see the television spot http://rss.townhall.com/trackback/www/d6f7b4de-91c5-4c08-9da9-634839c203e9/ in question. He even said that he hoped he never would see it.
Well, yesterday, Hugh Hewitt played most of two of the controversial sermons from the "Rev." http://rss.townhall.com/trackback/www/34fedc25-b630-48e8-b2f4-326c5d9d5314/ on his radio show. It made me ashamed and embarrassed that the "Rev." Wright considers himself a Christian.
I think that Sen. "F--- You" McCain, before slamming his own party, should take some time to listen to these disgusting, in context, sermons and then say what he thinks about Sen. Barack's judgement in attending Trinity United Church of Christ http://tucc.org for 20 years, exposing his daughters to this hate-monger.
Sen. Barack has made his judgement a centerpiece of his campaign for the Democrat nomination for president. So far, starting with the "Rev." Wright and his relationship with the unrepentant American terrorists, William Ayres and Bernadine Dohrn, to use a youthful explanation, his judgement sucks.
And, whether Sen. McCain likes it or not, it is not only fair game, but necessary to remind the voters of.
Just as out candidate gets me at least tolerable with the impending candidacy, Sen. "F--- You" McCain reminds me of why I did not support his candidacy in the first place. I only hope that he starts remembering two things. He is the Republican candidate for president. And that he better take off the gloves now before either Sen. Barack or Sen. Hillary Clinton define him. Or it is Bob Dole '96 all over again.

California The Incubator On What The Dems Hath Wrought

For those of you who do not live in California and think that many us who do are just a wee bit out there, there is a reason why.
For this is where the left of the left of the Democrats try their best to force their social engineering and eventually it spreads like a virus across the United States.
Take this lovely assault on the "bitter" people Beer tax hike sought - Pasadena Star-News.
Now, what do you notice is not being taxed here? How about wine and hard liquor? Why not those items? After all, they are all adult beverages, correct?
Well, Assemblyman Jim Beall (D-San Jose) claims that he has done the research and beer is under taxed in comparison with other states and that wine and hard liquor are comparable.
It is nothing but a shell game. If the tax is suppose to go underage drinking prevention, a worthy cause, crime prevention and health care services, then why not a tax hike on all adult beverages?
The dirty secret is the same as the assault on cigarette smokers. These are supposedly the uneducated, minority, lower-income people. I mean, who consumes wine and hard liquor? The upper-income people. Same about cigar-smokers. Of course when the cigar smokers are led by Gov. Arnold, well it is a non-starter.
Do you like how this Beall fellow twists why the beer tax should be raised 1,400%? To be level to other states.
I would argue that is the reason why it should not be raised. Just like any taxes should not be raised.
See, the Democrats try the two-for-one. We will stop people from drinking beer, such a low-brow thing, and help people with health care costs. It is the typical robbing Peter to pay Paul. And of course, go after Joe Sixpack. As they have done with Joe Smokestack.
I do not consume adult beverage except for non-alcholic beer and wine every now and then. But that does not mean I want to go after them because I may or may not like what they drink and or don't drink.
That is the problem with the Democrats. They not only want to raise your taxes but by golly they are going to get you healthy too. Social engineering at its height.
Fortunately, this looks like it may go nowhere, but the fact that it is even proposed should show the rest of the United States what we who do not want to be over taxed and over regulated and over-mommied have to put up with.

Gov. Mitch Daniels Needs To Be Bitch-Slapped*

It is amazing how some people like the current governor of Indiana, Mitch Daniels, does not get the conservative Republican base wanting NOT to forget who got all of us here, former President Ronald Reagan. Yeas & Nays - Gov. Daniels: People need to get over Reagan, already - Examiner.com
After all, Gov. Daniels began his public service in the Reagan administration and has been a conservative all of his political life. He has fallen into the trap that we just want to return to the Reagan years.
Well, we would have to turn back the clock and our enemies would have to be adjusted somewhat and the Democrats would have to control a lot more of the government than they do now.
But seriously, what Mr. Daniels and his ilk need to understand, we want to understand the way that Mr. Reagan governed and how he would address the current situation domestically and internationally.
It is learning from our past. I for one do not look to Mr. Reagan just for nostalgia's sake, I look to the vision that Mr. Reagan had.
So, what does Gov. Daniels think we should jettison? Should the Republican party give up on being a pro-life party? Should we be for more government? Should we negotiate with those who wish to destroy us, the Islamofacsist terrorists?
This is another in a long line of conservatives that support Sen. John "F--- You" McCain saying it is unfair to keep comparing the senator to the former president. Well, Sen. "F--- You" McCain does that himself, constantly reminding anyone that will listen that he was a "foot soldier" in the Reagan Revolution. He always is talking about the issues that have not been resolved that still need to be dealt with. The tax code, the size of government. And, like Mr. Reagan he calls our enemy what they are, Islamofacsist terrorists. He has not backed down.
Every Democrat who runs for president reminds the American people about their heroes, FDR, Truman, JFK. No one says that they should not do that. It is how they pull the wool over the people's eyes on occasion and sneak into the presidency, a la Carter and Clinton.
So, there is no reason not to compare Sen. "F--- You" McCain to the Great Man. After all, President Bush ran under the Reagan mantle-with the "compassionate conservative" pablum mixed in.
So, I think that Gov. Daniels needs to be taken to the woodshed, slapped around a little and reminded why we look to Ronald Reagan's leadership, not in a nostalgic way but as a guide to the way we want to see the current GOP standard bearer, Sen. "F--- You" McCain govern.

Dennis Prager TALKS With Pastor John Hagee

Radio talker Dennis Prager http://www.townhall.com/TalkRadio/Show.aspx?RadioShowId=3&C today actually talked to Pastor John Hagee, the left-wing's feeble attempt to smear Sen. John "F--- You" McCain with the "Rev." Jeremiah Wright brush.
Pastor Hagee's real sin, and this is rich, is that he is "anti-Catholic". Read, anti-Roman Catholic.
The Democrats are trying desperately to drive a wedge between evangelical and Roman Catholics in an attempt to bring them back into the fold. That is why they brought up the whole Bob Jones University "controversy" in 2000 when then-candidate Gov. George W. Bush went to speak and get their support.
Coalitions are built on common interests. When one goes beyond the common interest, then one will find where they separate. That is the case between evangelicals and Roman Catholics.
Clearly, there are theological disagreements. And, that is OK. On some issues, both sides have strong agreement. On doctrine, well that is a different story. Oh, and it is how there are Protestants and Roman Catholics. Unlike the bad old days, the debate is civil and carried on in the academic sense.
But, those pesky Dems are, to coin a phrase, throwing the kitchen sink trying to divide the evangelicals from traditional Roman Catholics and a chink in the conservative armour.

Happy Earth Day-The Socialist Christmas

Well, hello and Happy Earth Day! And, since it goes hand in hand, Happy Birthday to Vladimir Illyich Lenin.
I have to hand it to the president of Bolivia'Scrap capitalism, save the planet': Morales - SBS World News Australia since he truly let the cat out of the bag as to the end result of what would have to occur to end globaloney warming and or climate change.
I know, you are probably thinking, am I a "denier" and to answer, why yes I am. I do not buy into the theory that there even is globaloney warming. Or if there is climate change, is that the direct result of man.
While I link that tidbit for your perusal, the reality is that we are careening to a point of no return as far as whether or not if there is a problem, will we let the free market and free minds solve it?
All three remaining presidential candidates buy into it hook, line and sinker. All three want the government to do something.
I want to focus on Sen. John "F--- You" McCain and how he may have become a "true believer" in the globaloney warming phenomenon.
One of my blogging pals, Right Wing Sparkle http://rightwingsparkle.blogspot.com has a theory. That Sen. "F--- You" McCain has been heavily influenced by his daughter, Megan, a recent college graduate. Apparently, she believes that if we do not "do something", we will become cannibals in an unmanageable world in the next 40 years.
Well, as I let RWS know in a comment, I will share it with you,
Fantasies and fairy tales are for when you are a little child. When one becomes an adult, one should still have a child-like wonder at the world, but also be realistic.
And what I mean is that it is alright to believe in being a good steward, but what is happening in breakneck speed is the blatant attempt to hijack the very economic system that has brought more people out of poverty and can lead to a solution to the possible problem. Having a 24 year-old daughter giving the potential next president of the United States policy and talking points is just not a good thing.
That is the problem with the whole eco-wacko movement. None live in the real world. These are the kind of people that sit in trees to prevent them from being cut down. These are the kind of people that take animal protection to a perversity because they seem to favor the life of the animal over that of a human being. They worship at the feet of an overweight former vice-president, Al Gore, who lied his way to an Academy Award for the docupropaganda epic "An Inconvenient Truth". Such the lies of this movie that a British court ruled that it can not be shown in schools because there at least nine untruths that can not be verified.
The question on this Earth Day is this:
Do we need a government policy to solve a problem that has not been scientifically proven? Do we need to end the capitalist economic system in response to this so-called problem? Are we being needlessly traumatized into believing all of this claptrap?
Well, you be the judge. Everywhere around there is green this and green that. Overbearing legislators trying to charge people for using plastic bags when grocery shopping. The same people forcing us to use a special, florescent light bulb, taking away a choice.
And the schools are force-feeding this propaganda as if it was the New Testament for the dirt-worshipers. Don't mention that winter holiday, Christmas, or that spring thing, Easter, but we must all bow and worship Mother Earth. And, you will like it!
The envirowackos are not interested in debate and real scientific study about globaloney warming and or climate change. It is because, at the end of the day, Bolivian president Evo Morales says it all. End capitalism. It is about ending the very vehicle that has raised humanity upward.

Hillary Wins!

Really, to no one's surprise, Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) defeated rival Sen. Barak Obama (D-Ill) in the much ballyhooed Pennsylvania primary tonight.
Sen. Clinton defeated Sen. Obama 54%-46%, an eight-point margin. It is nothing to write home about, but as noted in the previous post, Sen. Clinton could have won by one vote and she would keep going.

Why Hillary Will Stay In No Matter What

In a few short hours, Sen. Hillary Clinton will have won the Pennsylvania primary. It does not matter the margin of victory. Even if it is by one vote, Sen. Clinton will stay in the Democrat race for the White House.
There is one, well actually two, reasons why Sen. Clinton stays to the bitter end.
Florida and Michigan.
Even if when all is said and done, and Sen. Barack may be ahead in pledged delegates, Sen. Clinton will throw more than the kitchen sink and a monkey wrench in the nomination process.
All Sen. Clinton will have to say is, "What about Florida and Michigan?" which, coincidentally two large states she won the primary.
And, she will be able to put that even further by throwing in the face of the Democrat power structure that it was the Democrats who wanted every vote to count in 2000 when the election results in Florida were in doubt. Then, it was the chant "Count EVERY vote!" even if one had to divine how a voter meant to vote.
So, how can the Democrat party deny to sit Florida and Michigan at the convention in August? They can not. For if they do and or try, there will be a bitter fight right on the floor of the convention. That is no doubt.
Sen. Barack wants to do what it takes to keep these two states out or he may end up losing the nomination.
So, all these pontificators who are saying that Sen. Clinton will leave the race unless she has a convincing win today are dreaming. They are hoping that this comes to an end and the new Messiah, Sen. Barack, is the Democrat presidential nominee.
I can not wait for the Democrat convention in August!

Some Condensending Commentary From The New York Times

It appears the The New York Times Politicians as Comics: A Sideshow on Pop TV - New York Times does not like it when our High Potentates, aka elected officials, appear as regular folks.
Take President Bush, appearing on the "lowbrow" NBC game show "Deal Or No Deal" with host Howie Mandel. I guess the fact that show features 25 very attractive young ladies is a "low brow" thing to the reviewer.
Why do these so-called "reporters" not get that there is a world outside of the cocktail parties in the Upper West Side of Manhattan? Or San Francisco? Or Hollywood? Really, there is a whole other part of the United States.
Some of us like shows like "Deal Or No Deal" or maybe WWE Raw, the "wrestling" show. Many an American like shows like Rachael Ray or the Today Show.
See, we actually elect these people to represent us, the American people. Thus, maybe Alessandra Stanley may not get it, but I think that Sen. Barack Obama sure gets it. Ask those bitter, gun-toting, religious nuts in Pennsylvania. I am sure that they will remind him tomorrow night about this time.
Yes, Alessandra, we like our leaders to be at least a little bit like us, with all our pathologies. And one more thing. It is OK to watch "low brow" television. Its fun and dare I say, occasionally entertaining!

Benedict XVI vs. Wright

Last night, Pope Benedict XVI left the United States back to the Vatican on what has to be an amazingly successful pilgramige to this great land.
But, I want to focus on three words that Benedict said last week in Washington, D. C. and contrast with another man of God, the "Rev." Jeremiah Wright, former head pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ, Chicago, Ill, home church of one Democrat presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama.

The "Rev." Wright:
No, not God Bless America, but God D--- America!
After hearing this several times today on the Laura Ingraham show http://lauraingraham.com,
I was taken aback by the diametrically different views of this nation from two men of God.
Pope Benedict talked about the freedom of religion and how the American experiment has evolved from. The "Rev." Wright still feels like and directs those who follow what he preaches that they are but victims and that their version of God, who is black-centered, will set them free.
Here are just some words that were spoken by Pope Benedict last week when he arrived at the White House to meet with President Bush:
From the dawn of the republic, America's quest for freedom has been guided by the conviction that the principles guiding political and social life are inanimately linked to a moral order based on the dominion of God, the creator.

Contrast that with the "Rev." Wright and the negative message of victimology that permeates not only sermons but the whole mission of the Trinity United Church of Christ http://tucc.org. It does nothing to evolve, just to agitate.
A man, Benedict, who is not an American citizen and has no real stake in the American experiment seems to get it and have a great love for all the people of the United States. He even has such a great faith and belief that he has the right understanding of God to enter a synagogue as he did in New York City to help begin the Passover.
Another man, Jeremiah Wright, is an American citizen who does not get that the American experiment is ever evolving. And, for the "Rev." Wright, it appears that any success has passed him by. It is as if the "Rev." Wright is living in a time warp.
As a non-Roman Catholic, I am very impressed by this pope, who really does seem to be a humble man, trying to do the Lord's work on earth. Pope Benedict, even when confronting the evil of those priests who sullied their own vows and the name of Almighty God, did so with humility and grace.
If only the "Rev." Wright would show the same humility and grace, there would not be so much to contrast these two men of God.

Interesting News On The GOP Veep Front

If this article Political Oddsmakers Weigh in on Republican VP Derby - America’s Election HQ is any indication, it appears that My Man Mitt, as in Romney has a very good chance to be Sen. John "F--- You" McCain's choice for Vice-President.
Yes, I know that there has been all this talk in the Dinosaur, Drive-By, Mainstream Media that the two have hated each other's guts. Firstly, that has been way overblown as it was a campaign and in a campaign, a lot is said and done. But, if a candidate wants to win, usually they choose a candidate that they feel will fit that bill. And, despite what Rassmussen says, Mitt is the one to do it.
One thing that may be overlooked by the Romney haters is that Mr. Romney was the only Republican candidate to actually take on Sen. "F--- You McCain. And that is important because as the vice-presidential candidate, he will be the attack dog. Sen. "F--- You" McCain has to look and act presidential. Sen. "F--- You" McCain can no longer be the maverick. He is now the big cheese. He has to close ranks.
I can not think of a better way to close ranks than to choose Mr. Romney.
As far as the others are concerned, even Sen. "F--- You" McCain seems to realize that former Homeland Security secretary Tom Ridge is a non-starter. Since Mr. Ridge is pro-choice and Sen. "F--- You" McCain himself said that the candidate should be pro life, forget Mr. Ridge. And the same for Miss Rice. And, she has no elected office experience. She will make a great Republican candidate for California governor in 2010.
For the also-rans, is it not interesting that the Rev. Mike Huckabee has 40-1 odds at being the VP choice? I think he ran his campaign way too long and that did not endear himself to Sen. "F--- You" McCain. And, unlike Mr. Romney, I think that he will turn off more voters than he can bring in.
One last thought. We are told that the presidential candidates like to bring in a candidate that will potentially win them a tough state. That has not happened since 1960 when Democrat John Kennedy chose then Sen. Lyndon Johnson. And that was a easy choice because Mr. Johnson was able to steal enough votes along with the Chicago Daley Machine to win the election. Nothing like that has happened since then and nothing indicates that it should be a serious consideration this time. For either party.
I think that Sen. "F--- You" McCain has made up his mind, but is waiting to let us know what it is. And, I am always hopeful that the choice will be Mitt Romney.

McCain Wants California In Play

Any other election year and Sen. John "F--- You" making a play for California would be laughed off. But, not this year as Jim Geregthy posts:

Rasmussen puts McCain within 7 of Obama in California, within 5 of Hillary.
I'm really, really skeptical that California will be competitive this year. Bush lost by 10 points in 2004, lost it by 12 points in 2000.
But note that if McCain were to somehow pull of an enormously upset win in California, it would not only all but guarantee his victory, it would ensure a landslide. Those 54 electoral votes are pretty much irreplaceable for the Democrats.

Now, I can not be certain that my fellow not-so Golden Staters will ink the vote for Sen. "F--- You" McCain, but the fact that neither Democrat is in a double-digit lead at this point should be troublesome for the Dems. Also, Gov. Arnold will defiantly campaign aggressively with Sen. "F--- You" McCain, unlike the Ohio foray in 2004. Gov. Arnold is a disappointment for many a Republican here, but resonates with the mushy middle and even a few Democrats.
So, maybe Sen. McCain is on to something. Also, one can not rule anything out since last year at this time, Sen. "F--- You" McCain was on life support.

Obama Does Not Know When Life Begins?

When you are stepping in the dung that surrounds small-town and rural America as Sen. Barack has been doing this past week, in his case you just step a little deeper and hope no one notices.
New case in point.
Last night was some liberal shindig called the "Compassion Forum" sponsored by CNN and led by liberal evangelical minister the Rev. Jim Wallis.
Newsweek reporter John Meacham asked a basic question about life. Mr. Meacham asked Sen. Barack do you believe that life begins at conception? And here is the clear answer from Sen. Barack:
This is something that I have not, I think, come to a firm resolution on. I think it very hard to know what that means, when life begins.
And, there you have it. A clear and concise answer to a very simple question.
I think that Pope Benedict 16 will have the answer to that. I have the answer.
Life begins at conception, period.
One of the great lies of the Abortuary Industrial Complex is that life does not begin at conception. Some even go so far as to claim that if a baby is born with something like Down Syndrome, it would be OK to murder the born baby, but only if it does in a timely manner, you know like maybe within a month.
The reason that the AIC does what it does is so that the mother and yes, the father, who agree to abort a baby are convinced that all they are doing is removing some excess tissue. For if it is a life, then it would be murder. No life, no murder.
Because of that, the "pro-choice" crowd like Sen. Barack can not answer the question with a yes or no. If Sen. Barack would have said he does believe that life begins at conception, then the next question would have to be is abortion then murder since you agree that life begins at conception.
But, by obfuscating the answer, Sen. Barack is seen as a genius by the AIC for he clouds the issue by not answering the fundamental question.
And there is no doubt that that AIC crowd loves that because they know that someone like Sen. Barack is on their side. You know, letting such luminous groups as Planned Parenthood, founded by eugenics queen Margaret Sanger, into the public schools to spread their lies about abortion and family "planning." That is why the AIC will pour as much money as possible to insuring that he will be the Democrat presidential nominee and the next president.
You know, they can not have that knuckle-dragger President Bush and someone of his ilk, someone like us, in there, blocking the agenda that there is no bad abortion.
One way that there can be honesty in the abortion debate is for the first "pro-choicer" to admit that yes, abortion is the taking of a human life. Then a real conversation can begin.
But, when we have such wordsmiths as Sen. Barack in there, giving a ridiculous answer to a basic question, we will be treated to more lies from the Abortuary Industrial Complex.
